Honestly, when you are 1-8 after an interim coach led the same team minus the #1 overall pick to a 6-6 record and people are saying we were better under Matt Rhule, you shouldn’t need anyone else to tell you you are on the hot seat. We’ve seen nothing vision wise that looks good and we’ve traded away so many top picks that we’re basically in purgatory for a couple more years.

Sadly, this is absolutely correct

the offense is a shambles…they could not score a TD ON THE BEARS. Dear Lord

Tepper  can either stop it now or continue another year and really what would it solve to continue for another year…just more time with  something that isn’t going to work with the personnel.

the staff (and GM) had absolutely no tactical to strategic plan to move from the personnel they had to the personnel they needed to run that archaic offense.….and that,  for a ‘pro staff’ is frightening

Tepper needs Fitterer and staff to go as well. He assembled this mess

Ill say too, collaboration is great and has its place but a pro team needs one leader, one voice, one vision, and staff can collaborate but it needs to be to that vision…in support of that vision.

should, as I suspect, the Cowboys do a brutal mercy killing, at BofA, and that pathetic offense is as bad as it likely will be, ‘turn out the lights, the parties over’

BURN IT DOWN. it’s a not even a straw house…it’s a poo house

Yeah, that preseason doesn’t matter BS that some of the posters in here were trying to feed us while we watched just miserable play, turned out to just be our new offense. It ended up being that huge bright neon road sign that a lot of us were worried it was.

Just like Young not throwing at the combine

Why should they have, though?

One, we had a very good offensive line. What sense would it make to abandon them? It would make way more sense to change the scheme.

Second, Reich came in saying his plan was to fit the scheme to the personnel. When coaches are saying that, why would you expect to have to swap personnel?

Were they really ‘a very good line ‘?   if I recall, last year’s  story was the qb(s) was the problem so they became a power running team under Wilkes   I can never remember them being touted as a ‘very good’   o line period much less geared for passing

Frankly, If they could not see what is truly apparent, what more is needed ?

Yes, they absolutely were. And the fact that they were in a scheme that suited them was part of it.

There was no reason whatsoever to retool or change things up front...but we did.

Fitts has assembled a terrible roster.

Reich and company have done a terrible job of attempting to scheme around that terrible roster.

Tepper has built an almost unimaginably terrible overall organization based on the consistently terrible results the team has produced under his ownership with the only constants being losses and utter dysfunction.

Tepper turned some of the most professional and liked coaches in the league into whatever this is. I no longer blame Rhule

Franks mistakes are his own, Colts fans told us he was ass. He chose to complete change the offense without the personnel to run it.

Disagree. A terrible roster would be weak in all phases. We're only weak in one.

The roster does have weak spots (most do) but the OL wasn't one of them until they changed to zone blocking.

That wasn't an attempt to scheme around a weakness. It was trying to fit a square peg in a round hole.

It's a complete mystery to me why it was done this way.

We're weak on a lot more than one. This roster sucks, man. I realize you're still clinging to hope on Fitts but he's either trash or Tepper is forcing his hand making him trash. Either way it's trash.

That is what I have been saying

they did change it with no understanding of what they were doing.

I will disagree with you, however,  that ‘they absolutely were’.

If Dallas blows us out on Sunday I think Frank is gone on Monday

I doubt it but this report kind of indicates that Frank wants to go down with the ship as Captain. So it's possible but I think it would have to be a 49-10 type game which I don't expect.

Defensive side of the ball isn't trash at all. Banged up as hell perhaps, but not trash. Special teams has been good too.

And to be clear, I'm not "clinging to hope" for anything except Tepper not screwing things up even worse.

No, I don't think Fitterer should be fired, but if it does happen I won't be broken up. I'll see it as a mistake, not a tragedy.

But then, mistakes aren't exactly a new thing under Tepper, are they?
