Fallout: New Vegas

Also, I just read that you can buy a recharger rifle in Goodsprings so I'm excited to pick that up later today after work. I'm building up the energy weapons skill and have intended to mostly use them but ammo has been scarce. The combat knife I stole in Primm was a beast before I beat it to poo cutting off powder gang heads.

Yea, it's pretty lame that you lose Karma for killing Powder Gangers. I lost Karma for killing them when they started shooting me first as I passed through one of their camps. I was pretty pissed about that.

I should probably start using energy weapons more. I don't really use them, but they are pretty effective. And I have a substantial amount of ammo for them.

I always seem to run into packs of Deathclaws when I don't have the resources to deal with them.

Yea, I made the mistake of trying to get to New vegas right off the bat and ran into a few of them with basically no weapons and a level 2 or 3...got my ass kicked.. I like how the combat has a faster pace compared to Fallout 3, the only cool gun I've found so far though is the incenirator which was pretty awesome till I ran out of ammo.

So far I love it, the story so far isn't as engrossing as 3, but I have no complaints other then that. I'm used to Bethesda and technical issues... Elder scrolls 3 anyone????

I've only played the game for a few hours (around 3-4), I have seen a few issues like a main NPC stuck in a celling or a floor, The game has froze once or twice on me and I've seen some screen tearing and dead scorpions fly/fall out of the sky.... lol The scorpion was pretty damn funny as it hit the ground and bounced and flopped around.

I hadn't seen anything strange like that yet, then again I haven't really been looking to hard for it, I did pick the Wasteland Perk though.

Yea, I have just managed to stumble across them. But I really like to find every location instead of just sticking to the main story line. So I find a lot of strange things. The grannies found me though. Those b*tches were crazy.

As far as technical issues I have yet to experience anything that takes away from the game. Occasionally a radioscorpion will have half his body clipping into the terrain so he can't move or attack. Other than that I've been relatively free of any technical problems. It's far superior to Elder Scrolls: Oblivion.

The only thing that's taken away from the game for me is the two freezes I've had happen, but it wasnt that big of a deal for me. I'm used to playing Bethesda games, so I save quite often.

Did anyone explore the ungroung bunker area...I think its called happy hills or something like that... Its like a fenced in area with like 3-4 bomb bunkers in it???

Yeah thats the brotherhood of steel location. This game is amazing im now 20 hours in and feel like I just started.

Oh sweet, I was wondering if they were in the game or not and in what capacity if at all. I wanted to explore that bunker system, but I didn't pick lockpick as a skill and I couldn't get in to any of the doors I found...Might run back in there now that I've boosted lock pick up a bit.

Just an Update

I pretty much got screwed....

I had no affliation or rep with them at all and on the quest were you have to go the Legion stronghold...the Legion just started attacking me for no reason what so ever.

I wasn't carring a gun, I had regular clothes on/ no affliated armor or anything like that.... and was still shot up... Now when ever I go into that town they all start attacking me and I can't get to where I need to go. lmao

First major glitch I've seen. your supposed to have a pass for that quest to not be attacked and it didn't work thats for sure. lol
