You guys dogging on Frank for this but this move made me respect him. He is making sure he will be the only one on the hot seat to get fired instead of throwing Brown under the bus. He knows this is a shitty team and they aren't winning anymore this season.

Frank Reich has already done tremendous damage to Thomas Browns' stock.   That's the reality.   Bet you that all star staff sees that reality.

He set him up to fail.  He wasn't brought in to call plays. He didn't let him get play calling reps coming into the season.  He is basically a rookie himself.  He gave him the keys of one of the worst offenses in the entire NFL (totally not because he was getting heat from his boss).....and then stripped him of the duties after 3 games (that featured our only win).

Hope you like runs up the middle from the shotgun for no gain on 1st downs.

This is a legitimate criticism. But do you realize that's Bryce Young's game? We run so much shotgun because that's all they ran for him at Alabama. Reich and the offensive staff are poo but they constructed this offense around Young's supposed strengths.

We have to take Bryce off the field on QB sneaks.

Our offense is limited with him. We can eviscerate the staff all we want for scheme and playcalling but they did this to themselves selecting Young.

Which is the reason why brycels dont want Dalton anywhere near the field. If dalton outperforms again it will be that much harder to defend him.

He honestly should have continued to start after the Seahawks game until he fell off before going back to Bryce.

And by no means am I saying Dalton would have been some kind of savior or is a good QB, but the passing offense looked its most competent far and away in that game. Even with the insane 58 pass attempts in the game because we had zilcho run game, he still only got sacked 3 times (with an even worse current oline that we all say is the worst oline in the history of football). He seems to be a good fit for Reich's system, since his arm strength isn't great but does seem to get the ball out quick. I'm honestly curious if Reich would want to start Dalton or if Tepper said Bryce will start every game this year (if healthy) no matter what.

Everybody keeps saying Bryce needs reps!! Yada...yada...yada.... Are these reps even helping him? The dude has poor mechanics in the pocket, only seems to be capable of strong accurate throws that are 10 yards or less, takes too long to process what to do when the 1st receiver isn't open, and stares down his receivers more than a QB should.  Yes, our offensive talent sucks - and that may be even more reason to let him sit this year, watch Dalton, and learn from what Dalton does well in games. Get him in the weight room, let him bulk up some, and then let him loose year 2. Mahomes didn't play his first season, and that may have been the best thing the Chiefs could have done - don't rush him out there, let him watch Alex Smith, learn the playbook, etc.

The Seattle game was 20-37 and Seattle played prevent with a banged up secondary.  Dalton threw his last TD to AT with 1:40 left it's also where a chunk of his yards came from (75 yard drive).  YPA tell the story more than total yards.  We threw it 58 times that game, unless you are wanting 5 YPA (which Bryce gets when he is playing terrible) then you better have over 300 yards. 6.22 is where Dalton landed that game.

So if Young scores early the defense is asleep, if it's late it's because it's prevent defense?  Dalton's TD under the last 2 minutes while being down by 17 counts right, or was that prevent defense too?  I'm trying to take notes so I can follow...  At the end of the day the goal of the offense is to score points.  Young's TOs against Detroit are fair game but Miami still sits as is.

He still had 20 points (and he was pretty much responsible for every yard of all of those scoring drives) and didn't turn the ball over once with 58 throws, which is truly impressive.

If we give Bryce 58 throws in a game, he would likely be throwing at least 2-3 INTs in the game. But let's be real, no way Bryce is getting 58 throws in a game because that would involve him actually completing a string of passes that aren't to the other team.

Bryce has a QBR of 33.2 on the season, which is worse than every QB (yes, we are talking Ridder, both Wilsons, Pickett, Mac Jones, Daniel Jones, and I'm sure I am missing some other terrible QBs). In that 1 game, Dalton got a QBR of 54.6. Bryce has managed to get a QBR over that 1 time out of 8, and it was against arguably the worst pass defense in the NFL in the Bears.

I honestly don't understand how people think our passing offense didn't look light years better in that Seattle game than any other game we have had on offense this year. I feel like our banged up defense has outscored or nearly outscored our offense in half of Bryce's games this year.
