I like brown he’s why we are getting better recruits. . I am not high on Chiznik he’s defense has beenad this year

I'm super glad Mack came back. We needed someone to get us out of the gutter and he did it. But this is who we are under Mack. And that's with elite QBs. Take Howell and Maye off of these teams and we're probably winning 4-5 games at best.

The program has been stabilized. It's time to find the long-term solution. Mack was never that.

That’s the hard part.  As Panther fan, we have seen that.  It’s easier to do worse than Mack than better.   But yeah, you gotta try.

Although he isn’t going anywhere anytime soon…he still has not fielded a decent defense since he returned.  His offenses have been good but definitely been fortunate with these QBs

I wouldn't carve that in stone just yet. There are some pretty serious boosters who are ready to retire him.

    • I genuinely don’t think there is a single Panthers fan who wants Bryce to fail. There’s a big difference between actively rooting for someone’s failure, and just observing the obvious. I didn’t personally think before the 2023 season “omg I hope Bryce fails I hate him” I was cautiously optimistic although admittedly skeptical because I had seen him play in college and he had a lot of red flags that seemed to be totally ignored in the draft process. But now? I don’t think he’s going to be the franchise QB for this team, he’s obviously too physically limited, but he might have a long career in the NFL as a backup and game manager. He’s just not the caliber of player who should have been taken #1 overall. He was wildly overhyped because he went to Alabama and the Panthers drank the proverbial kool ade. So long story short no, I don’t hope he fails, at this point I know he’s a failure relative to what the Panthers paid to get him.
    • His future is the next Jake from State Farm guy.  I imagine he's going to stay in the League for 3-4 more years and that's it.  Beyond his rookie contract he'll catch on some place else as a backup for a few years and then hang them up realizing he's never going to start again.
    • i didn’t say BY was the greatest QB, i said he was outplaying the two in the late game. BY played well, but not great. he missed some throws, and had some good throws dropped. he made some good decisions, and not really any bad ones. but if you want to cherry pick stats, ok, both QBs in the late game had multiple picks, 7 between them. BY had none. betterer, which is all i was claiming.
