Welcome Race Fans Yes!

Here we go again! Time for the Shootout, Twin 125s and The Great American Race.

Oh wait, in today's new nascar, i guess it's the "blah blah blah Shootout" the "Gatorade Duel 150s" and the blah blah.

I do miss yesteryear. But my 48 is absolutely dominating this !poo! haha -

Any picks this year for the title?

Gonna be a big year for Logano and the rest are standard operating procedure.

I'd like to see 24 get another title but not at the expense of the 48.

Wow 2 jgr cars but no 18,What makes you say that?( I'm not a bush fan but I think he's a helluva driver and the best one at jgr)

I hope Juan builds off last year and wins the cup in 2010.

And I hope you can shed some light in this , I hear that the 24&48 teams will be sharing alot more info with the 5&88 .. What do you expect this year from those guys and are yall more open with info this year than last?

I just think it's gonna take time and patience for the 18 to work with a new CC and he has neither time nor patience. I can't stand the asshole prick but fug him, i do think the 11 will be top notch and i like logano having a good year.

i had heard mumblings about the 48 n 24 sharing more information but i don't think it can be blamed on that. When HMS finishes 1,2, n3 in the points, it's obviously not the organization to blame. Somewhere, Jr has to take some blame.

I saw articles last year saying that the 24, 48 n 5 seemed to run close to the same setups yet Jr and his crew did something different. Whether he's hard headed or too arrogant to see other, more better, ways of operating, i'm not sure. but at some point, it's him and not the crew, or car, or evil step mother, or dumb bad racing luck etc....

i hope he does well. i like jr. i think jr thinks a lil highly of himself when he's not all that great of a driver, but i do like him.

Hamlin has always struck me as really arrogant. They tried to portray him as this humble country boy, but I think that's because they wanted an "everyman" to compete with the likes of Gordon and Johnson. He might be a countryboy, but he's an arrogant one.

I don't mind Kyle Busch much anymore. He's an ass, but at least he's himself.

I like Scott Speed, he seems funny. Doesn't take himself too seriously and can laugh at himself.

i dont really like kyles attitude but he has the talent to compensate for it

. and as far as scott speed , hes really cool and hes hella nice, he brings his car, (actually it might be his girls car) to the dealership and takes time to talk to me and really listens to what i had to say..he hasnt let being a famous driver get to his head.

Yeah, I can't stand Hamlin on a personal level. At least I couldn't until Homestead last year. When he spun out keslowski, i thought okay, that's alright. Keslowski punked Hamlin all year in the Busch series and Hamlin finally got him back.

Busch? Ugh. I can't stand him. I think he's more suited for carnivals. You know, the insult guy who pisses everyone off?

    • Interesting for sure, I think I remember him saying if he could go back he’d tear every ligament in his knee to jump on that ball. I get where he is coming from on this, most people, especially social media, won’t take this well.
    • I think, at 8, there will be a player someone covets.  These top teams have few needs, so they might package a first and second and maybe a future pick to move up to take a player they covet.  Gonna think out loud here for a second-- Offensive tackle--I went to a site (randomly) that lists team needs in prioritized order. ELEVEN teams list OT as a priority.  (Ravens, Browns, Bears, Jets, Niners, Seahawks, Bucs, Chiefs, Packers, Commanders, Patriots, Rams).  IMO there are 2 elite OT prospects and probably 4 to 5 with first round grades. I see Sanders and Ward (QB), Hunter (CB), Carter (Edge) and Johnson (CB) going in the top 7--Graham or TMac are probably likely to go next.  The Jets pick 7 and will not be picking a QB.  They will probably take OT Will Campbell.  At that time, there is one elite OT left and ELEVEN teams that need an OT.  Granted, some will address this need in free agency, but how many starting OTs are available?  Now, consider you are the Chiefs, Seahawks, Packers, Bucs, or Ravens.  They have little to no cap space, so grabbing a stud OT in free agency is unlikely and there are not any.  You also realize that 10 or so picking before you need an OT.  Once the Jets take an OT---the Panther phones will be ringing--teams will target Kelvin Banks, OT Texas.  If they wait, they could hope that Josh Simmons (Ohio State) falls to them, but they are unlikely to wait for the unlikely.  So the Panthers will have to ask themselves, "Would I take the Commanders' first and second and the 2026 second rounder for our first rounder?"  We do not have a second rounder in 2026.  We'd pick 29th and 61st in 2025.  That would give the Panthers 3 picks in the first 61 picks.  So who might be there? Let's say that Graham (DE Michigan) is available at #8.  Most say "No brainer."  But the Phone rings offering you two second rounders to move back 21 spots in round 1.  You have a lot of needs.  What could you get? Estimates, based on Player Rankings: 27. Derrick Harmon, DT, Oregon 57. (from Rams--not part of trade)  Donovan Ezeiruaku, Edge, Boston College 61. Maxwell Hairston, CB Kentucky (assuming Mike Jackson leaves--Hairston has been eye opening at the SR Bowl practices) So basically, to give up on Graham, you get a good CB and a good DT and a future second rounder in a draft in which you had no second round.
    • Except bryce did absolutely nothing at all accept show up with a lot of forced weight and back pack/ hoodie. No physical activity till his pro day.
