Do we have a scouting problem?

If this has been addressed, my apologies. I don't think anyone would challenge the opinion that we have a significant talent deficit, especially in light of the the draft picks we have had.

Some have pointed toward scouting as the issue.  That could be true but do we really have any idea as to whether the scout's advice/input is being followed.  I've seen a good bit of assumption regarding who is making decisions, but not sure any of us know.

How much turnover have we had in that department since Tepper became owner? If the picks have been directed by scouting, that's obviously a definite need for improvement.  If the counsel they are giving is being ignored, changing them out is just rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic.

I think someone said on "Get Up" (while discussing the Raider's dysfunction), that if the person making the decisions is the only employee that cannot be fired, (i.e. Mark Davis), then turning over staff is just a waste of time and money.

consider their best players (burns, Moore, cmc, Shaq, Moton) did not come from this regime.

I don't think there is a person in the building that doesnt have a hand in where we are at now nor is there a person I don't think is fairly easily replaceable and would probably be an improvement.

If it involves football then yes, we have a problem with that thing.

Our drafting and FA signings have largely been terrible. So either the scouting sucks ass or the decision makers aren't listening to the scouts.

Definitely have a scouting issue. When did this start….around 2018. That is when Tepper bought the team.  The question is why? Why did the Panthers lose people when Tepper came here and why can’t the Panthers replace them with good people?

Harbaugh offered to come fix this mess and Big Tepp declined. 

Now they just go after the guys that Nicole thinks will look good in a Panthers uniform

That is definitely possible and if true no coaching or GM change will matter.

It is sad that it feels like we would be better off just buying a copy of Dane Brugler’s draft guide every year and get rid of that whole department.

Yes the scouting is laughably bad but it really starts with a very poor understanding of the talent you have. This staff went into the draft thinking we were close when in fact the team was riddled with holes.  This is the worst franchise in the nfl and the people who dragged it down are still in charge.

Scouting can be done sitting in a room these days with the amount of film on all these guys/kids
