So we haven't been using bubble screens?  What team have I been watching the past 9 weeks who uses a sh*t ton of bubble screens?  RPOs only work if you have an effective running game.  We do not.

So what was the point of this article again?  Oh yeah, we suck and no one is happy.

Is it possible that Tepper knows he pushed for Brice and blames himself more than Fitterer and Reich and that’s why he hasn’t fired them?

That would take humility and I don't think Tepper knows what that is.  If he gave Rhule, who obviously had no clue what he was doing, that amount of leash then Reich should at least get a second season.  If coaches got routinely canned after a less than productive first season, the turnover in the NFL would be even higher than it is now.

He really hasn’t. He’s had more good plays than Young, but he’s been in the NFL for years now. He was supposedly tearing poo up in the offseason but sometimes you feel like the coaches having training wheels on him and then other times he’ll make some awful throws. Again, he’s shown more highlights than we have have but he’s a 25 year old in his 4th season.

Well, I guess its time to sell now and accept my losses before they get worse. Thats a bummer as I thought he would do something big this season. Thanks for the heads up!

Do you really think so or just kidding? I hope you are right if you are being serious

I think so, yeah.  It reminds me of the 49ers game from last year.  I'm still 100% convinced that Tepper only fired Rhule when he did rather than EOY because of how bad it was at that game, not just the result but also the crowd (or lack thereof for the Panthers).  This game will be an even worse version of that.  The stadium is going to be FILLED with Cowboys fans.  It will be an embarrassing look for the organization.  Not only that but are going to get beatdown.

Also before that 49ers game is when the heat really started to turn up on Rhule, not just among Panthers fans but in national media.  Same is happening to Reich now.  So the thought is already in Tepper's head.  And we're talking about an owner who is willing to cut ties during the season.

I could be wrong.  Just what my gut thinks.

Bill will get to retire on his timeline, provided he doesn't take the controls and nosedive for the next couple of years.

Yep, this recent talk of firing him is just beyond insane to me. Is he struggling? yes. Also he got to the AFC championship nearly each year during those 20 years, that was the floor.......the AFC championship..... In the hardest eras, he won 6 SBs in which they where facing the favorite/best offense that year. A fluke helmet catch and hed have 18-0 record and the 7th SB.

Hes always had a top 10 defense and few times it was ranked #1. When NFL changed all the rules for scoring, Bill was holding teams to 16 points and the next best mid-20s. Just insane to talk of his "firing" imo. NFL DCs just copy his game plans cause they have worked.

Hes even able to have alllll that success while drafting in the late 20s/32 alll those years and he sucked at that...

This should never been a topic.

    • KC has a very good defense this year. It is 5th overall. Yes, still worse than last year, but their offense is considerably worse. Their passing D may be their "weakness" but they still allow fewer than 20 ppg. BY completed several deep passes yesterday, and he was able to threaten downfield in ways he didn't seem capable of before the benching. I'm not necessarily worried about his ability to connect deep anymore. What to me was impressive was that he did all this without a run game. We used the pass to set up what little running success we had. Wild.
    • Solid and fair assessment.   I will say, one of the big things I noticed yesterday was that he wasn't shy to step up into the pocket in the face of pressure.  He's trusting the IOL.  And they took care of Chris Jones yesterday.  We had clean pockets but also good success rate vs. pressure which just hasn't been the case with Bryce.   If he has more confidence the OL gets it done and he can navigate and step up for throws, that's huge.  It's one of the biggest things that's held him back.  He was previously bailing quickly and just too easily throwing away or making dead plays.     He was finding his 2nd to 3rd reads within structure/without bailing in the pocket.  That was nice to see, as much concern I have with him.  And the overall limitations will always be there. Time to back it up this week against the Bucs.
    • Suddenly the Cowgirls look like our best chance for a win remaining. I think the Bucs are playing better than the Falcons of late.  Our lone game versus the dirty birds is in the ATL where we always struggle.  The Cardinals are marginally better than I thought they would be. We are not beating the Eagles, they are starting to roll. I'm saying two at most, next week at home versus the Bucs and the Cowgirls.
