Yeah, I would wager we see Frank back next season. I suspect there was a lot of money spent on this staff, as well.

Maybe if we muster out a few wins.  I can't see him being brought back if we lose out, which is likely.

And the boss's wife making trades in the draft room so she can feel like part of an NFL team.

I remember seeing that on the Blueprint series.  Scott Fitterer let’s her make the call on the phone for the Mingo trade (I think it was) and then gives her the credit for it.  I remember laughing and thinking to myself “that’s like letting a child put a cake in the oven an adult worked hard to make and giving them credit.”  Pathetic.

evero isnt taking an interim job, in fact I doubt anyone of note would especially seeing how wilks was treated

I disagree.  The Raiders did the same thing and Pierce was all about taking over as HC.  The floor is so low right now if they look just slightly below average it will be a welcome sight.

If he didn’t take the Denver job why would he take this one?

2 games vs half a season is pretty big difference to make a difference.  Two games gives you little to no time to make an imprint on the team.  I wouldn't be against offering Deuce or Evero the job with them having their shot in 2024 as well.  Give them the rest of this year with a full year in 2024 to show us something.

Good point. I mean he just lost a bunch of money on Rhule's contract and went absolutely nuts on this group of coaches.

Face it, kids, we're stuck and we're fuged.

Tepper mat get rid of Fitt, but he's not getting rid of Reich.

I think we see Fitt hit the door this offseason. Reich will get fired in the second half of the 2024 season, if I had to guess.

If Fitt sticks around for the next offseason cycle, all bets are off. I would say that probably indicates we won't be sniffing a winning season for a very long time.

I think the timing could work out nicely after getting steamrolled by the Cowboys.

Hell, maybe it's Christ Tabor if not Evero or Staley...he's done the interim thing before and his unit has consistently been the most disciplined and prepared this year.

We do that, get the classic firing spark and beat Levis and the Titans.  Maybe they could show some life down the stretch and we end up 4-13.

I think you roll with an internal guy like Deuce or Evero through next year.  Then you can do a full reset if you don't see any results.

Because of the financial investment and having lost so much on the last one, Tepper isn't going to bail so quickly.

Aside from a few position coaches, the coaching staff will largely be the same next year.

GM is the only major change I realistically see us making.

I kind of prefer Staley.  Who better to steady the ship, fire up the players, and get our running game back on track than Deuce?!  This would have been a good time ideally because of the long week, but yeah the Cowboys would be a rough 1st game.

I think that's why you keep it internal for now.  Should be much less expensive plus retain a portion of your current staff which also keeps it cheaper.

but do we know anything about her work history or background that qualifies her to make any decisions?

We can say that about a lot of "leaders". In that case, the Panthers are nowhere near unique.

If only qualified people made decisions, the world would be a much more boring place. Normal, but boring.

    • The other draft picks have turned out pretty well. Brooks will too.
    • I'm still not touching Hunter He again said the other day that he plans on playing both sides of the ball in the NFL.  If he is allowed to do that, he won't be as good on either side as his potential and he's going to have serious injury issues and have a short career.  If he's not allowed to do it, I think he's going to become a problem when the team isn't winning as he's going to feel him not being used on both sides of the ball is why. He's being coddled in that environment with Deion and I think it's doing a disservice to him to prepare him for life in the NFL where your coach isn't a 2nd father to you, to where you can just walk into his locker room and steal his shoes like Hunter does to Deion.
    • He’s a tad behind them. Around 15ish of 32 starters in the league. He’s well ahead of a lot of guys. Tua, Bryce, Cousins (present), Rodgers (current), Devito/Jones, Minshew, Russ (current), Watson, Smith, Carr, T Laws deep ball is weak as poo IMO, there’s plenty. And it’s not like everyone is ripping 60+ers. The key component is if you can rip and maintain velocity of the 30-40 yarders which he does super well. Legit every report out there from Brugler to PFF to PFN document him as good/above average arm strength.  Eye test tells me it’s pretty much that as well, slightly above average.
