Here's the thing though. All those other guys went to the worst team in the league. A team that earned the #1 overall pick. We traded up from #9. And we gave up a LOT.

These things are not the same.

If it makes you feel any better, we are definitely the worst team in the league rn

133 passing yards, you can't tell me there were plays he could have stepped up and threw up at least some 50/50 balls. fug it at this point, go yolo

I don’t disagree with you however with this WR group we are not getting 50/50 lol maybe 20/80

Sir look at this roster now look at the coaches.

Nothing to be patient about respectfully.

I’m holding out for a Jag situation. Terrible coach with a bad roster year 1, found the right head coach year 2 + went a overspent in FA to help out their QB

You’re obviously not watching the games or have no sense of football. The guy is playing pretty damn well for the most part. We’re just not good right now,  the tide will turn eventually

Taking nearly the whole game to eclipse 100 passing yards and scoring exactly zero touchdowns against the Bears is playing pretty damn well?

He had a couple nice throws but for the most part he was the same as he's been all along. He just does not look like he's going to be able to beat any teams in this league with his arm. That's the ugly truth we're left to face right now.

Just blow it all up. It’s a complete failure on offense. Young will have his chance to show something in 2024 if he can’t then we move on from him too. This offense has been absolutely pathetic all around. I mean who would anyone want to retain or build around on offense right now? Wilks at least knew how to scheme to his players strengths.

Well unlike Bridgewater and Darnold, Bryce is, for the most part, going to be our QB for the next 3 years no matter what. Might as well believe until you can't, he ain't going nowhere.

So you would rather be delusional than to face the fact that the Panthers picked a scrub #1 overall?

I say that accepting the fact that BY isn't an NFL quarterback now is better than 3 years from now. A good team can be built in 3 seasons, just not around a scrub QB.

We also got rid of our two best offensive players, last season.

I'll give him 2024 with a new staff.  However, I think the lesson learned is that physical limitations don't go away because of other intangible qualities.  They remain, and will be exacerbated with better competition.

You need to craft something that suits them in order to succeed.  Unfortunately Bryce isn't a guy that can be dropped into a system.  He's someone who needs to be built around, a highly curated environment.  And they haven't built, rather dropped him into a Reich offense.

Seems like we have a staff who aren't the nuts and bolts coaches running an offense in a mechanical fashion.  Evero seems to be the closest thing.  Brown is looking like he should've stuck with the Shanahan tree.

    • We could easily pick apart yesterday’s game: dropped passes, blown coverages, bad tackling and red zone issues to name a few. But it was clear that this wasn’t the same team from earlier in the season. They fought back and hung with the champs until the end. That’s what I was excited to see and it gives me hope that we’re on the right track.
    • I think BY played well today and exceeded expectations. I will temper future expectations as he has to string together many games of consistent quality. One game doesn’t convince me that he is a franchise QB or even a guy you want to stick with for another season. One game doesn’t erase all the negative play and limitations from the past couple of years. I hope he balls out and continues to get better but for me the verdict is still out   That said, I think he gave the team and fans hope yesterday which is a lot more than what we had when we woke up Sunday morning.
    • He was vastly improved today and we need to see more of Bryce the rest of the season to continue evaluate him in order to decide what the heck to do with him at the end of the season. He must play at least like this and improve more from here the rest of the season in order for me to keep him. No more 123 yard passing games and want to see at least this output weekly from him. If this is Bruce improving slowly over time then Canales is even better with developing QB's than I thought he was but still too early to tell and we need to see him the rest of the way as he has at very least earned back the starting gig moving forward.
