HELLLLLLLLL NOOOOOOOOOOO

There is a reason Bienemy hasn't gotten a HC job yet, and it's not because of the color of his skin

He rubs people the wrong way, particularly his players, and he has a bunch of questionable issues in his past.

If you can't get along with the best player in the NFL, who your career depends on, then you probably don't have the proper temperament and coaching style to be a successful NFL HC.

And it was painfully clear that Mahomes never really liked the guy

He's basically the next Josh McDaniels, someone who is a good X's and O's coach, so they succeed as an OC, but they just don't have the right personality and coaching style to make it as a HC and will just create friction in the locker room.

Would that make you trust David Tepper more?

He's in a tough spot.

If he fires everybody after 1 season, he is seen as inpatient and meddling.  He will be roasted.

If he keeps Reich / Fitterer after a disaster of a season then he is seen as an idiot who can't read the writing on the wall.

If he only fires Fitterer, he is seen as stupid because it should be a full reset where the GM can pick his new coach.

He has done all this to himself so no excuses.  Just saying, there isn't really a right choice at this point.

I've already said that I don't want Tepper making any decisions, including a choice of who to fire.

He shouldn't make a single decision until he brings on a consultant that knows what they're doing.

I don't know man; who?

What consultant can truly advise that?   Is this a permanent consultant i.e Director of Football Operations or something?

But he has to choose the right one of them too.

The way this place gushes over Sam Howell he must be doing something right.

Im curious who do you want as GM/HC?

Doesn't matter who we have at GM, Tepper is just going to tell them some sort of dumbass half-measure and get us cooked like he always does. 2020- half measure and brings in Teddy B on a stupid contract instead of ridding out Cam's last year of contract or let Heinicke or Kyle Allen get us Trevor Lawrence. 2021- Trades for Sam Darnold one year into wasted Teddy B contract AND picks up his 5th year option.
2022- Trades for Mayfield, Trades for Matt Corral instead of riding out Darnold's last year.

Sacks Rhule halfway thru season instead of before season. Rhule was bringing us safely to the #1 pick all by himself with CMC and DJ Moore still on the team. Nope, trades CMC, keeps DJ Moore all the while this chucklefug wants the #1 pick. We win and instead of riding with Sam Darnold and Will Levis or trading two first for the #3 pick and keeping DJ Moore, he trades DJ moore after the season instead of before the trade deadline where we could have GOT a #1 pick(from the Bears more than likely) and earned the #1 pick without giving up poo.

Doesn't matter if its Hurney, Rhule, or Fitterer, everything we do with Tepper is a fuging half-baked half-measure since he bought the team.

Its like everything is kneejerk reaction and no good plan for anything.... hes had plenty of time to do his due diligence to bring in a good leader for this team.... he just doesn't seem to be putting in the time to be successful at this... Its a fluke hes a billionaire.

Have said before my first choice would be Kevin Colbert. His resumé is impeccable and he's known to Tepper.

    • Yeah I think they are wanting to let XL and Coker develop, but I don't see nothing wrong with a speed guy on day 2
    • Finding that dance partner will be difficult and who's to say the team trading up has not offer a package to 5th, 6th, 7th??? They did and were turned down most likely.    I still feel 8th is the hot spot for OT run. If you want the best OT/OL in the draft, 8th is the way.    *But Ive been reading lots of Jets and others having Membou as their pick. Banks and Campbell are right there in great value terms. The whole deal is that pick for the Panthers, they are not looking to spend a top resource on OL, 31 other teams are.    I've also been seeing sanders falling out of the top ten, I just have a hard time buying that. ALso seen dart being drafted in the top ten. FYI last year NO ONE had a 1st round grade on Bo Nix and many thought Michael Penix Jr. was at best late 1st early 2nd. I laugh hard at the failcons drafting Penix at 8th, but I stopped laughing during that week 18 game.... he looked legit......barf....  So... one team could easily trade up for sanders or dart or begin the OL run or Jeanty causes a stir as he falls.  There are legit options, Brandt and Dan get paid for this...
    • I'm with you.  Even an extra 3rd would help.  None of the players you listed are elite though.  Sadly there are very few of those in this draft, but there are a lot of good players in the late first and into the second. We need to realize that we can't get all our needs in this year's draft.  We know we need some sort of edge, a safety, and I feel we need to use one of first 4 picks on a CB, preferably 3rd at latest.  And I want to draft an OT in 3rd to learn behind Moton this year. The extra 2nd would be huge.  2 things Bear Hands has noted in other threads, we can get a rusher in the mid rounds of the first, and if a good LT is available at our pick we should be able to get a deal. I'm ok.  If the media takes are close, trading back to around 15 should get us a second, and since our second is near the end of that round, getting one earlier opens up a whole lot of opportunities.  Either way, Canales builds his infrastructure with this draft.  Next year, with all our picks and probably picking somewhere between 10 and 15, we can get real stars.   All of this depends on hitting on picks this year.
