like it or not, multiple SB victories are a rarity for a QB. The one timers like Dilfer, Eli..etc, I agree. But Ben has been there done that.

Down 4, 2:00 to go. Don't know who I'd currently take between Brady and Big Ben. They've proven they can do that in the BIGGEST stage.

It's obvious w/these posts who has and hasn't played competitive sports in their lives.

You think Brees is an elite QB, as do I. Explain to me, just what has Brees done that Rivers has not? As you seem to think Rivers is above average at best.

Secondly. Yes Ben has won two Superbowls, but he did not win the game against Seattle, they actually won in spite of him. However I DO think Ben is amongst the top 6 QBs below Manning, so I consider him pretty elite. However, if you truely are not sure between Ben and Brady in a clutch moment like you described, then you are truely lost.

Third. Why is you keep avoiding my questions? I want to know what you have against Rivers and how you can possibly think he is not elite. He has won games every season he has been there and has put up phenominal numbers. HE is not the reason they lose games. I find it odd that you disregard Rivers statistical prowess, yet tried to use Bree's stats to compare him to Manning. Double standards no?

Finally. List your list. I have already aluded in this thread that you keep making different claims as 'who is the best', which seems to change everytime you look at statistics and win/loss ratios.

Oh, I always find it quite telling that the people who make the claim 'it is obvious they have never played competitive sports <snigger>' usually are the ones who have never been in those situations. It's easy to make bragging rights on the internet, however you really are not fooling anyone.

simple as this; Rivers has had two GREAT teams going into post seasons. One of those teams he got Schotteheimer fired. This year he performed a HUGE choke job against a not very good Jets team. He's above average at best. What has Brees done? Follow closely ok; he had a TERRIBLE GAME IN THE BIGGEST GAME OF HIS CAREER AND DIDN'T TURN IT OVER AND THREW 3 TD'S. In sports you are defined by your consistency and how good your BAD games are. Until Rivers wins an AFC championship or gets more playoff W's under his belt, he's akin to the 'best golfer without a major'. Simple enough for you?

5. Warner (yeah, he's proven he can do it when it matters more waaay than Rivers)

So after all your hissy fits, you actually fundamentally agree with what I have been saying. I really do not know why I bothered and I really don't understand why you were being so argumentative earlier on in the thread.

Go back and read what you were writing. You specifically said Rivers was above average at best and then put him tied 5th with a retired QB.

Rivers was not the reason Schott got fired and Rivers was certainly not the reason they lost to the Jets. They were a one dimensional team all season, living off Rivers arm. Finally a team manages to slow him down and neither the run game or defense picks up the slack for him.

Personally I felt Brees and Peyton choked in the conference champ. They came out guns blazing, but in the second half Bree's barely made a forward pass. Yeah he got the TDs, but he looked very very very nervous out there. Take that for whats it worth, I am sure you will just take it as an insult.

I'm amazed that you are dissing a 3 time Super Bowl winning QB so much. Brady is still the best QB in the league man. Dude is clutch.

Brady is one of the best, but Manning is better. Winning 3 SB champs don't mean poo though. Marino never won a championship & Dilfer and Brad Johnson has. Does that mean they're better than Marino? Nope. It's basically who you have on the team beside a great QB.

Brees is successful due to his system, 9 step drops are required for a "little fellow". Favre and Rivers make really dumb mistakes in playoffs.

Never said that he was better, just that at that time, I would rather have Jake on my team than Brees.

At that time Brees had done nothing in the playoffs, while Jake at least had performed. Not to mention Brees was sporting one of the all time greats at RB.

Since then Jake has been injured, and Brees has proven that he was able to come back from "a potential career ending injury" to be a really really good QB.

Was I wrong at the time, debatable, looking back, the much better choice would have been Brees.

And as for you telling people what they need to know about me, I am sure that they appreciate your help, as they are not able to make informed opinions on their own.
