Need Some Opinions

I know im not a well liked poster around here but this whole Peppers thing has everyone going crazy. People on the Atlanta board are saying he isnt worth the money and that hes too old while other people are saying he is worth it and all that crap...

So the question is...What is your opinion on the guy? If he were to re-sign what would a "good" contract be for him (length and money). Would he be worth a long (4-5 years) contract with big money or is he just on the decline of his playing years?

1) on the decline

2) overrated

3) overrated

4) overrated

5) ...yeah he's overrated.

that about covers it i think. wanna give us two first-rounders for him?

I personally dont have any use for the guy...but maybe someone else out there might...

Thanks for the input though

Yea well see the difference between this boards opinions and the Falcons opinions is that you guys see him every game every year hes played...us Falcons fans only see him 2x's a year and the espn highlights...

You will get the same range of opinions here. Shocker.

I think Peppers is surely an assest to our team but he isn't worth the money that Carolina is putting in his wallet.

I hope we work out a long term deal. Pep is still an amazing athlete and seems to have responded well to Meek's system.

so you 2 guys are pretty much saying the talent is there but it isnt enough to give him a huge contract?

Yeah dirtybird. I def believe that Peppers is valuable for us, but the amount of money that we would give him to keep him here is ridiculous. I don't even think Peppers wants to play for Carolina anymore, and who wants somebody on your team that doesn't want to be there?

Problem with Peppers and a long term deal is that when his athleticism begins to decline which could easily at his age start in the next two to three years, he hasn't show the development of any other techniques that will allow him to be a standout player into his mid 30's ala Strahan.
