What the hell? Getting ready to take my daughter to school and see the closings scroll across the bottom of the TV saying no school. How does 40 degrees and raining close school?

Thanks to the good ole' news stations and Mr. Brad Panovich saying there is a .oo1 chance of wintry mix everyone goes crazy and shuts down. Amazing.

Is there still a lot of ice on the residential streets? That'll do it every time - can't roll those buses. I really expected CMS to cancel as well and was so pleasantly surprised that they didn't.

Burke County did not have school today either. My kids were excited until I told them that these past two days are going to have to be made up somehow!

my 2 year old sons daycare usually goes by what gaston county schools do....so im thinking "fug i gotta stay home again today"

but his daycare opened at 9am anyways. his daycare FTW !!!!!

Not a drop of ice on the ground, it has been 38 degrees and raining. Only in the south does school get cancelled for 2 days in a row when 1 inch of snow falls 3 days before.
