Look, CJ is really good. Nobody can/would deny that. He also has 4 legit playmaking options right now. They are making plays. They aren't just the beneficiary of a generational talent at QB - which CJ could be.

Tank Dell wasnt some impact WR that was drafted. He was like the 12th WR off of the board and we passed him up for Mingo. 

Noah Brown has been in the NFL for 6 years. Today is the first game he has ever had over 100 yards in a game. 

Dalton Schultz who I do like, has also been in the NFL for 6 seasons. Today is also his first ever game over 100 yards. 

Nico Collins is in year 3 and he had 446 yards and 1 TD, and 481 and 2 TDs in years 1 and 2. This year he already has more yards than any previous season and more TDs. Oh yeah, like the others on the list, Nico also never had a 100 yard game before this season. 

And they are doing this with a rookie QB in Stroud. You can call them playmakers but they really hadn't been much of one before he got drafted. Most guys wouldn't be considered some great "playmakers" if they never had a 100 yard game before.

Nico Collins in two years never had a 100 yard game. These are the "playmakers". And oh yeah, Houston has no run game this season. So folks know they have to defend the pass and this is still the type of game hes capable of putting up. 

The 39 points CJ scored today is 14 more than anyone else has put up on the Bucs today in a game.

I was in the process of writing a similar post.  Those guys are 3rd, 3rd, and 6th rounders and definitely not speed burners.  Dell started his college career in community college.  He’s like 5”10 165 and ran like 4.5ish forty.   Those guys are doing huge things but with sketch credentials.

We draft 6’3, 205, LSU studs with 4.40 speed and two years later they can’t see the field and demand a trade.

So frustrating seeing other franchisee find gold in later rounds and we can’t even hit with high picks.

A minor counter is that Tank Dell was totally legit.  Him, Rashee Rice & Charlie Jones led the NCAA in nearly every receiving metric last year.

But yeah, Stroud has been working with backup lineman who've performed great. And then this receiving group, which he's throwing absolute dimes to.  Stroud. is (A) playing great, (B) the coaching is excellent and (C) the supporting cast is outperforming expectations with a stud emerging in their rooks.

Thank you for the FACTS. They want to argue opinions when you are posting  Facts. Im just tired of all the gymnastics and maneuvering to take credit from what this guy is doing. Hell, i wouldnt even talk about stroud that much if he wasnt for this but some people just deserve to be called out on their baseless takes. Remember, the narrative on here was that he was going to struggle because houston had nothing around him so therefore he would never be a threat to bryce in comparison of performances. He has shattered that in them some.

I didn't mean to make it sound like I was dogging on Dell. Their offense is much better with him and Collins both healthy. I just was trying to illustrate that the other guys on their roster weren't doing terrific on other teams and having these super games from time to time. Dell and CJ came in the league together so I can't go well last year in the NFL Dell put up blah blah blah, etc. 

And thats another thing... outside of also having virtually no run game this year its been backup linemen spread all across the front for CJ Stroud. And the backup line is partly to blame for the run game I would hazard to guess.

Yeah Pierce has been a major disappointment considering how good their OL has performed.  It's been putting more pressure on the pasisng game and they've brought it.

Stroud was so awesome today, but it felt like Bowles didn’t do a damn thing to switch anything up against a freaking rookie lol. I’d be livid if he was my coach and I watched that.
