I feel like I'm living in a parallel universe.

We won 7 games with f'in Steve Wilks, the much maligned Sam Darnold and PJ Walker last season.

How are expectations now "well it's a first year coach and a rookie QB (that we sold the f'in farm for), so be happy with getting your ass kicked every week"??!?!?!?

Wilks was smart enough to know that all that offense side of the ball knew how to deal well was run

the oline was set up for power running

they had a poor veteran qb and only one decent receiver

this year.  Different staff. Different scheme still bad receivers and average RBs and a rookie qb and an oline that requires zone blocking when it was assembled for power run

net Wilks worked with what he had until he could do better  Reich and company has done a scheme change tegardl ss of personnel

so, here we are

you know these things

At least Davis has the real balls to do what needs to be done - admit his mistake and cut his losses.

This is what the brass balls guy needs to do with Reich and Fit

Just because Davis has the balls to fire his HC and GM doesn't mean he's been a great owner. Raiders have been one of the most poorly run franchises recently. Gruden, McDaniels, Mike Mayock, poor drafting, racism allegations, Henry Ruggs, Jamarcus Russell, etc. Oh and his haircut doesn't help him.

If you haven't noticed...only a handful of "that" team are on this offense.  New QB, RB, TE1, WR1/WR2/WR3, OG1/OG2.

Never said he was a great owner and not meant to draw parallels to Tepper. The only point here is that we made a bad hire and the GM is poo, the quicker they get shown the door, the quicker we can officially get this going in the right direction.

Isn't the story with the Colts/JM thing that Jim Irsay acted so weird around McDaniel and his wife, at their home, that they were like "nope".  Like Irsay went to the bathroom and stayed in there for like an hour or some poo lmao?

It takes time to sort and swallow a handful of pills.

I've always liked the story that came out about Al Davis' interview of Kiffin. He suggested they keep talking over dinner and sent someone out to get a big bag of regular McDonalds cheeseburgers for the two of them.

I think Mrs McDaniels implication was that Irsay might have been doing...other things 😳

That was my impression anyway. Could be wrong.

It looks even worse for them. Bisaccia actually got his team in the playoffs as an interim.

I will say this like I've said before, it wasn't the wrong move to move on from Wilks, it was the wrong move to hire a retread coach instead of a young promising offensive mind like Steichen (whom Tepper didn't like because of his zoom call lol). If we were just going to hire Reich, you should have just kept Wilks. We are in that Browns, Raiders, Cardinals tier of bad franchises now.

I agree 100%.... but here it where I differ slightly.....

Rhule had no creditability. Once Wilks took over, he inserted an attitude for the team through accountability and leadership.  Frank really hasn't proven to be that type of a leader.  He has professional credentials that Rhule never had, but his age gap from the players is becoming evident.  Players need to be inspired and feel like their leader can relate and is relevant to them.  Mike McDaniels, DeMeco Ryanes, Mike Tomlin are perfect examples all in different forms.

I would offer Frank a front office position at the end of the season.  Truly, I believe Frank can offer value to the franchise.  I just don't see it on the sideline on Sundays.  His best fit may just be as a football advisor to Tepper.  Frank cares about the franchise and may excell in that type of role.

I would promote Evero to HC.  Allow Brown to work for an entire year to build up his experience and create a true rapport with Bryce.  Evero is a leader.  He's intelligent, young, and a teacher.  In my opinion, he is a cross between Tomlin and McDaniels.  Heck Capers can call the plays with Evero's direction.

As far as Fitt is concerned.... I dunno really what to say.  The last few draft classes have been terrible, and he has depleted our assets without any return on his investments.  He needs to go.  Where that puts Dan Morgan is unclear I would roll with him, but invest in someone who knows the draft as an assistant GM.

    • We could easily pick apart yesterday’s game: dropped passes, blown coverages, bad tackling and red zone issues to name a few. But it was clear that this wasn’t the same team from earlier in the season. They fought back and hung with the champs until the end. That’s what I was excited to see and it gives me hope that we’re on the right track.
    • I think BY played well today and exceeded expectations. I will temper future expectations as he has to string together many games of consistent quality. One game doesn’t convince me that he is a franchise QB or even a guy you want to stick with for another season. One game doesn’t erase all the negative play and limitations from the past couple of years. I hope he balls out and continues to get better but for me the verdict is still out   That said, I think he gave the team and fans hope yesterday which is a lot more than what we had when we woke up Sunday morning.
    • He was vastly improved today and we need to see more of Bryce the rest of the season to continue evaluate him in order to decide what the heck to do with him at the end of the season. He must play at least like this and improve more from here the rest of the season in order for me to keep him. No more 123 yard passing games and want to see at least this output weekly from him. If this is Bruce improving slowly over time then Canales is even better with developing QB's than I thought he was but still too early to tell and we need to see him the rest of the way as he has at very least earned back the starting gig moving forward.
