The most important part of Bryce’s play vs Texans

It’s not the stats or the fact he outplayed Stroud.  It’s HOW he did it. He was able to overcome 6 sacks and 10 additional hits to inspire his team to come back and win the game. He made others better around him and you could see that everyone started to get excited about what they saw yesterday.  He looked like a playmaker and did whatever it took to put his team in a position to win the game. 

This was a flash of the Bryce everyone saw at Alabama. He is getting better and we should be  optimistic about the future. 

We still need to somehow overcome Fitterer and Tepper but that’s another story.

All true!! that is a great summery on Bryce Young and his performance Sunday. He  showed what good things the future can hold for him and the Panthers.

I’ll be interested to read the All-22 analysis, I suspect a lot of the success had to do with Brown calling an aggressive game as opposed to Reich doing the same predictable ass plays over and over. Just when I thought I was out, they PULL me back in!

Truth. There were multiple but Chark had one later in the game along the sideline that was just brutal.

Can you imagine if Sanders was late getting his hands down and tipped that pass to Thielen?

People have given Bryce a lot of bashing for his play and physical limitations, however I don't think anybody questions his toughness. He has taken hit after hit and been put in poor playcalling but still gets up and keeps going. If Bryce is going to be good, it'll be because of his toughness mentally and physically

he had ASS for WR production from anyone not named Thielen (Mingo came on late)

he had ASS for TE

He actually moved up in the pocket yesterday and was a lot more aware of pressure. I have a glimmer of hope and I’ll take that.

He has improved week to week and has alleviated a lot of my concerns. We gotta figure something out with the o line though, he can’t be taking hits like that .

I’m also hoping this win will get our guys playing with more confidence, the WRs in particular.

 

Also for the love of god stop calling shotgun on 3rd and goal with 1 yard to score.

Got to be something.  It's absolutely atrocious.

Bryce overcoming a non-existent run game, several inexcusable drops, and getting absolutely crushed quite a few times and still hung in there and threw some of the best passes we've seen from a Panthers QB in 6+ years.
