Enough with the crying that we took Bryce over Stroud. We need to be talking Ickey over Cross

We aren't giving him any help.  No TEs in-line, very limited RBs in pass protecting. The Texans were bringing overloaded or delayed pressure.  Ickey has struggled, but he can only block one dude and the defense routinely brought two guys from that side.

Sorry, but that’s not true. Houston was just rushing 4 most times. That last sack by Bernard was one on one with no stunts, no delay, no overload, just Mano a Mano. All Bernard did was smack away Iky’s hands and run right over Young. That was just an awful attempt to block Bernard.

Iky has regressed this year and has had terrible moments since preseason game 1. He has to improve or he’s not a LT and we whiffed. Garrett Wilson would have been nice for Young.

Yes, that one I agree.  But if you are saying that they were just beating us with 4 and keeping 7 back, that's hogwash.

Was just speaking on Iky’s failures. He’s just getting beat one on one. He’s getting beat on other stunts too, but he almost looks un-salvageable. He’s certainly not learning from the mistakes but he also appears to just be plain getting beat. That’s not really fixable.

Icky was pretty damn solid last year. We'll see if he bounces back.

They have him playing in the wrong scheme. He isn’t a finesse zone blocking LT. It falls on Frank for not playing to his players strengths IMO. We had a decent OL for a power running PA offense with man on man blocking, but he is forcing his offense without the players to run it.

    • I went on a solo elk hunt in the Flat Tops. It was awesomely miserable. LOL It was a late season hunt, I think third season and it was forecasted to snap off cold with highs in the upper thirties and lows in the single digits. fug it, I'm going anyway. They were wrong. The highs were in the low 20s and the lows were in the negative teens. I shivered so hard the first night I thought my teeth were going to break. It was the only time I've ever been legit concerned that I might be in trouble. Crawled out of my sleeping bag and got a fire started and suffered through the night bundled up next to the fire. I slept the next two nights literally wearing every stitch of clothing I'd brought with Nalgenes full of near boiling water in the bottom of my sleeping bag. That was the only way to have non-frozen water in the morning anyway. There was about a foot of snow on the ground and the melt/freeze crust was almost enough to support your weight but you'd go crashing through just as you went or make your step. It was exhausting travel and every step sounded like a rifle shot. Hunting was basically impossible. I never saw an elk in those four days, only saw 5-6 deer. LOL It was brutal but I loved it. Absolutely beautiful country that is never been to before and haven't been back since. I needed that four day complete break from society fighting for my life against the elements. I'm weird like that.
    • The lack of production is especially surprising given how much effort the team put into coaxing the best from him.  In just six short years he’s had the opportunity to work with 3 different GMs, 7 different head coaches and 10 different starting quarterbacks.  There’s literally no excuse to be made that one of those combos didn’t work.  It might be time to look withIAN.
    • I would say maybe 8 in a tier by themselves and all but 2 where picked in the top of the first allen pat m stroud burrow jackson hurts (maybe) Herbert Stafford
