Peppers- You make the deal

Okay, none of these are realistic, but here goes.

Multiple picks would be nice, but you've got to go with No. 4. Wide receiver is our biggest need, and if we had a trio of Smith, Boldin/Marshall and Moose, we would be in very, very good shape.

Moose is a FA...will he get re-signed?

To those thinking he's not gonna get that type of money..

two words: DAN SNYDER

I can guarantee you he would outbid any and all teams to get him on the redskins in an uncapped year.

Not gunna argue with you there...that is as likely as any place where Peppers will probably go. Redskins then have the best on-paper pass rush in the NFL.

Anyways, I'll go ahead and propose the deals that I see are actually realistic and I'd love to see..

1) Peppers to Arizona for a 2nd round pick + Boldin---They won't get rid of Breaston, he's only 26 and proved he can be a legit #2. Boldin has wanted out of Arizona as long as Peppers has wanted out of Carolina, it'd be a perfect situation for him.

2) Peppers to New England for one of their 2nd rounders, and Julian Edelman. Edelman is a Wes Welker-type receiver who proved he was a stud when he filled in for Welker. Excellent route runner, great hands, quick as hell. I can MAYBE see NE giving up their 1st & Edelman for Peppers since Bill Belichick seems to have a huge crush on Peppers, but I'd be satisfied for a 2nd round pick + Edelman.

whatever the option's do not deal with ne. my friend brought up a good point. ne trades all their old players away, and gets all these draft picks. inturn they win 11-13 games every year. i'm tired of seeing ne, i'm tired of hearing about ne. nfl wake up!! stop dealing with them. peppers to any other team but ne.

The new article, saying the Panthers haven't contacted Peppers after the end of the season, sounds like any hope of a long term contract is dead (maybe that's not a bad thing).

It seems that the only options left are another franchise tag, or Peppers leaving (no trade). The report that Jerry Richardson has told people around the NFL that Peppers won't be back with the Panthers isn't good news. I know everyone thinks he will just turn around and buy 2 good free agents with the money he saves by not paying Peppers, but don't count on it.

Every move Richardson has made seems that he is set on massive cost cutting (not extending Hurney, Fox, or the other coaches, signing only a handful of players from the Practice Squad, and player contract news other than Diggs). The dumping of his sons before the start of the season may also show that he is preparing to sell the team (maybe after the labor situation is cleared up). He may be planing to cut expenses to the bone, wring out every last penny, and then sell.

This is pure speculation but still something to think about.

I think its time for people to accept that if Peppers doesnt re-sign long term then he will walk for free. Carl Carey said himself if the panthers franchised him they would refuse any kind of trade since he'll be making $20 million for just one season. Makes perfect sense. I know I would do the same thing. All of these trade talks may as well stop.
