Would you trade Peppers for Kolb?

Total hypothetical situation...not rumor based. But since the football news geyser is tapping out, and the Panthers QB situation next year questionable at best, would you do this trade?

Say the Panthers decide to franchise Peppers. The Eagles call up the Panthers and say "Hey, we've got this young QB here. We believe our QB situation is solid with McNabb and Vick. We want to get an impact player on our defense for a Superbowl run this year. Would you make the trade?"

I see him as being about equal to Matt Moore honestly. He's proven just about as much as he has. Won a couple games for the team, put up some numbers, but just hasn't been tested long enough to be worth anything more than a chance.

Would you do it?

well you said kolb is equal to moore so why would we want two? I would want to trade peppers for a much better QB, WR, or DT/DE.

Yes. Two reasons. 1. There is a chance we could get nothing for him. 2. He isn't spring chicken anymore and his inconsistency will only get worse. Granted Kolb is an somewhat unknown commodity but let him and Moore compete. I think he has looked good and he is sitting behind a pro-bowler.

While I am sold on Matt Moore. Kolb has some tools. When he started earlier this past season I believe he threw for 300+ each game. All those competitions weren't short passes. He went vertical quite a few times.

We would have to sign and trade Peppers to make this work.

If M. Moore didn't put his best foot forward over the last month or so, the I would have considered it. But, trading Pep for a possible back up QB. Doesn't make much sense.

Go Panthers.
