Signing WR/TEs who’s last reception was 4 years ago is a decent enough reason. He also only had 33 yards in 2019, so effectively it’s 5 years since he really played.

We signed two starting FA WRs and have 2 recent round 2 WRs. We have a recent round 3 TE, signed a starting TE and have a TE we just extended, but we needed to sign a guy whose last season was 33

If I was Fitts I would be embarrassed to say I even did this.....He has to be on antipsychotics given all the moves hes made... or not made.... just seems like there is never a plan.

It is embarrassing. It basically shows how many picks we gave up for crap (Darnold, Mayfield, CJ, Corral, and DJ Johnson for 9 picks) such that we have very little young talent. 31 other teams don’t have room for a 31 year old that’s been effectively out of football since 2018.

Well, it's just a practice squad spot.

And let's face it, we've got some starters that haven't really played yet this year. And then there's Justin Houston, our big name pick-up at linebacker who has produced 4 tackles and half of a sack.

Whoopie.

So yeah, can't really complain about those guys going on the practice squad. Good luck to them.

Thirty one years old. WR/TE who last played with the eagles. Hasn't played in a few years.

Ask me why they signed him and I have no answer. Old JAG that will not add anything to this team at all. That's the best they can do I guess.

Panthers gonna panther.

Ian Thomas and Giovanni Ricci are injured, Stephen Sullivan was out today due to illness.

We only have 2 healthy TE's Matthews is simply being brought in the event Sullivan isn't healthy enough to play this week.

    • That’s a book of the great life that the Panthers have had. So great to look back on the great players and seasons that we have had. But I think the book could have been twice the size. We have had a good 30 years, up and down the standings. i know we are in a bad spot right now, but hopefully before long we will be climbing back towards that Super Bowl championship
    • LmAO ..it does not make any sense whatsoever why a team that is currently 2-0 would  trade their backup Qb to a team that is 0-2 & in the same NFC conference ? & what is Seattle going to do if Geno Smith is injured ? wouldn't a team that is  currently 2-0 & is quiet  possibly going to the playoffs  want a decent plan B that already knows how to operate their system & has some form of chemistry with their players  , like I said before this is the NFL &teams especially ones like Seattle  are NOT going to trade their backup Qb 2 games into the regular season...just saying
    • Yeah, I can see that happening, but my only thing is, whoever he goes to, it's going to be a bad team. Not a whole lot of difference between us and say Denver, Jax, the Giants or the Colts. Of course, we're probably worse, but not by that much. Manning would have to pick his poison.
