The Who backs out of Super Bowl halftime

Damn straight, I am looking forward to seeing what The Who has left in them. I'd much rather have some of these older guys performing halftime than Justin Timbergay, Lady Gaga, and all these no talent pop artists.

yes, these are the only options.

we either have decrepit child molesting has bands or manufactured tween pop icons

there is no in between.

and if any of you think this is about the NFL wanting to be family friendly, it's not.

whenever music is chosen, the answer is either one of or both of these options.

1. The company is run by old men, completely out of touch, who think that this music still resonates with anyone under 35.

2. Focus marketing told them they'd get more viewers if they played this band.

I'm willing to bet it was a combination of the two.

Gone are the days of the intricate Indiana Jones Halftime Shows :(

jesus christ just put the arcade fire in.

their lyrics are inoffensive and bland, they're energetic, they can put at least 50 people on stage at any given time, and they won't have to lip synch like the Who.

It's okay if no one over the age of 40 knows who they are; no one under the age of forty knows that the Who used to matter.
