Would Tebow be right fit for Panthers?

The last Heisman winner we drafted from a Florida school was?

Chris Weinke. do i get a cookie for that?

Anyway, simple fact of the matter is that we already have a viable quarterback option, so Fox will choose the best player available with whatever draft pick we end up with, unless we trade up to get in the first round and in that case we'll take a wide receiver or defensive tackle (unless Fox and Hurney are really that dumb). But since we have a viable option already, that being Matt Moore obviously, then we're gonna pass on a QB in this year's draft and we'll spend our picks on depth. Yes The Golden Calf of Bristol is a leader, no he won't fit here in carolina because we don't run the option enough to waste a draft pick on him. I actually see him ending up in Philly, since word of mouth is that they're gonna let Vick go.

I'd be laughing if all these teams pass up on him and he turns out to be an absolute stud in the NFL and eventually wins multiple championships.

The Golden Calf of Bristol, whoever drafts him will be playing with a chip on his shoulder and will be out there to prove the doubters wrong. I say we take a chance on him.

We already have Cantwell who already has the tools. No need in bringing in another Eric Crouch only to wash out. We cannot afford to have a washout with the few picks we have.

Go Panthers

true.... but The Golden Calf of Bristol would be a good pick. he can be a versatile weapon, he's definitely worth a 2nd round pick. and if he falls to the 2nd round or later, I'm sure he will be there to pick up when panthers first pick is called.

We need a good wide-out one way or another, cuz moose isn't getting any younger either. need someone from 2nd/3rd round draft pick, free agency.. or whatever.

but anyways.. who cares, it's still January and too soon to discuss

I find it funny that people were all over Pat White last year as a wildcat quarterback and how good he could be and for my money The Golden Calf of Bristol is better than White any day.

I think he would be great as a backup and change of pace guy. He can throw the ball decently although he looks bad doing it and can run over people as well as around them. He would actually give the wildcat some teeth. Given we run as often as we do he might actually fit in here better than other places. What I like about him that I didn't like about White is his size. White was pretty small and had trouble seeing over the line. Tebo is 6'3" and 245. They are projecting his 40 time around 4.5-4.6. It will be interesting how he does in the combine. He could run the option, reverse, play fullback and throw the ball.

First rounder/ No. But 3rd rounder? I would take a shot perhaps.

I agree with this.

As long as we address the WR issue 1st whether through F.A. or the Draft.
