A little tough to call the season when 95% of the schedule is still ahead.

We can look at this early hiccup as has already been posted- 12/6 vs. 11/7, blue line not in sync, goalies atrocious, etc.

This is the definitive stat that, by itself, encompasses every issue the Canes are sorting through right now:

165 shots allowed thru 6 games. That is 10 more than the league average right now and is 12th highest in the league. Compare this to last year when the Canes allowed 26 shots per game and finished the season a full 400 shots better than the league average. Couple that with the league's worst save percentage (by a lot) at .818, and you need look no further to see what the issues are here.
