Vick will have many suitors

God sometimes it feels like Vick is even more over-rated now than when he was actually playing. He is second string QB material, player wise, stat wise all around. If he were to start somewhere it would only be because he fits a system/profile, and so Vick will go to Oakland. I am wondering what happens to Russell...

I don't get the dick sucking going on right now either. Any kind of sane analysis of his career, statistics, whatever will show that he never lived up to his hype.

I can't think of any team that would give much for him in a trade. I expect he will be released and someone would pick him up as a backup. He isn't starter material, is 30 years old, did very little if anything in Philly. The issue with Oakland or St Louis is that they have a high first rounder and can go after a quarterback if so inclined. Oakland already has one bust quarterback and St Louis needs someone who can throw the ball not run.

Most other teams have starting quarterbacks already which doesn't fit with Vick wanting to start.

In the end I don't care who picks him up as long as it isn't us. The good news is I think Richardson dislikes Vick so there is no chance as long as he is alive that we pick Vick.

I could EASILY see the Bills trading for Vick.

Maybe drafting a Quarterback in the 1st still, but possibly sitting whoever that is for a year.

You might be right, as bad as they are right now and as poor as they have been picking quarterbacks lately, they could be desperate enough to pick up another player in a wasted trade. They picked up TO so anyone would be fair game for them.

I still say the Rams..... Spags and Reid love doing deals together and are very good friends, they need a QB, Rams play inside where Vick's athletic ability would be better suited than a place like Buffalo. If Reid truely thinks Vick could be a productive starting QB in the league, he will try to help his buddy Spags out in St. Louis.

Vick has more suitors than Matt Moore or Jake Delhomme. How ya luv that? Seems the rest of the league values Vick more than any of our QBs. But let me guess, Roger Goodell, Tony Dungy, and half the organizations in the NFL dont know the game of football. Some lucky team is gonna nab Vick and have them 1 hell of a QB. And some team is gonna stand pat with what they have and struggle to string together back to back winning seasons.

Who the hell said anything about Matt Moore or Jake Delhomme? We're talking about 53.7% career completion percentage and 75.9 quarterback rating Michael Vick, a "hell of a QB".

Yeah of course Roger Goodell would back Vick even though he lied to his face and basically took him for a chump. The NFL is a business, and Vick sells tickets and jerseys.

Dont forget 6-3 against John Fox led defenses, 3 pro bowls, a division crown, an NFCG appearance, 1,000 rushing yards & 20 passing TDs in '06. Vick even managed to throw a TD in the playoffs this year as a 3rd stringer.

Add to that he isn't nearly the running threat he used to be, he really isn't worth the chance.

He sells tickets & jerseys because he makes plays and is a good QB. People dont pay good money to see sorry QBing, thats why our stadium was half empty most of this season and our QBs jerseys dont sell very much outside of our market.
