Vick will have many suitors

We get it yall think Vick sucks, he's a thug, he's the N-word, he never beat the Panthers, he's taking a roster spot away from some white boy. We get it. But the fact is, alot of people look up to and admire Vick. A lot of people still support him and he is apart of the black QB fraternity whether you hatemongers like it or not. I think its borderline racist our fanbase will tolerate Jake Delhomme throwing 18 picks and getting 12 mill for it, but cant tolerate a black man enough to make him our quarterback of the future.

This is ridiculous :nonod:

If you can't argue without throwing claims of racism around, it just shows that you've lost (again).

Delhomme's stats? Dont you mean Steve Smith's stats?

I tell you what KillerKat, put a gun to Johnny Rockets and c0r's heads and ask them who would they rather have? Delhomme or Vick?

Dont know about them, but I'd rather have Moore and a better FA QB (no matter the race) than either of them.

Oh and I like that little dodge of excluding Moore from that list. That was cute.

Okay...so what is the major argument here? Are we arguing whether Vick has a chance here or what? The article was spot-on, actually.

Vick has no chance here because he's black and plays quarterback. Vick will play for another franchise next season and we will actively root against him and downplay any success he may have. Anyone who dares support or defend him we will deem them a "thug" or a "racist".

Vick wants to start. That wont happen here period. I see him either in Buffalo, St. Louis, or Oakland. Jacksonville is doubtful because Gerrard is solid and they will most-likely pursue The Golden Calf of Bristol. Arguing is pointless because he will never be in a Carolina jersey (Chances would improve if he was content to just run a wildcat here and there and some trick plays occasionally; that said we rarely do either as it is so once again, Vick will not see the Panther logo on his helmet, ever)

Because Vick gets you more TV time, sells more jerseys, brings in more fans as well as being a better QB. Not to mention he's studied under Don McNabb & Andy Reid the past year, Matt Moore has studied under Jake Delhomme & offensive genius John Fox. .

Like I thought, you've dodged the issue again. What makes Vick better than Moore TODAY? You complain about Panthers fans trying to latch on to Delhomme's past success and not being able to let go - but you're sitting here romanticizing Vick's exploits from the same time period as a reason why he's a "sure thing". I don't care about the marketing and external stuff, I care about a player who puts us in the best position to win. Also, the last time I checked John Fox is still coaching the team next year, and runs a different system than Andy Reid - so how does that mean he's better prepared to play in our offense?

Some team will pick Vick up next year and he's gonna change the entire culture of that franchise. If Buffalo or STL do it, they immediately become more visible and gain a new legion of fans as well as become a more dangerous football team.

Both of those destinations make more sense than here since he'll be guaranteed to start there, and even better for his legions of fans because there will be no expectations and he won't receive any of the blame if they don't win.

Why? All 4 are black which means we would never draft or go after any of them. The Panthers would've converted Moon to a WR to catch Jake Delhomme's duck passes.

Haha he ignored the rest of my post where I contended that Vick doesn't belong in the same sentence as the other three quarterbacks based purely on merit and he goes off on another tangent about the Panthers org rather than addressing the actual point, which is that Michael Vick is a shitty quarterback and his skin color is pretty much the only thing he has in common with McNair, McNabb, and Moon. Joke poster.

Oh yeah no one in our fanbase is "tolerating" Delhomme throwing 18 picks this season. Unless your idea of "tolerance" is getting his house vandalized that is.

We don't want Vck here because he SUCKS as a passing QB. Always has and always will.

You want Vick here because you desperately want a BLACK QB....no other reason.

I sincerely do hope that some other franchise picks him up. Then, you can move on to be a fan of that team and stop stinking up this board with your continuous racist comments.

Please take your racist rhetoric to the tinderbox. The color of Vick's skin is irrelevant to discussions about whether we want him here or not.

Vick's mobility in the pocket is better than Moore's. He throws the ball with more zip and has better arm strength. Seeing him take command of the Eagles offense in his game in Atlanta and the plays he made late in the season showed me he's still got it. Obviously a couple teams in the NFL agree with me. He has been the focal point of an offense before, Moore hasnt and has yet to prove that he can be. I also see Vick as having a higher potential with his experience in the NFC South. Keep in mind, there are no 5 INT playoff performances in Vick's past, he has never played as bad as Delhomme did this season, so using him as analogy is not the same. Vick did not take a hit for 2 seasons and is 29 years old. He's got alot of football left in him, Delhomme is done.

I dont think Vick will have any problem doing what John Fox QBs do, which is hand the ball off the majority of the time and make passes off play action. With Vick's added mobility we could open our playbook and get a QB that can extend plays downfield. Vick would THRIVE here on this "run first" team we got down here in Charlotte, NC and he's better than any of the QBs we presently have.

Both of those destinations make more sense than here since he'll be guaranteed to start there, and even better for his legions of fans because there will be no expectations and he won't receive any of the blame if they don't win.

Playing it safe dont win championships. You take calculated risks to get to the top. This is a great place for Vick with great people and a great sense of pride in this area. Forgiving Vick and accepting him as one of our QBs would propel us where we need to go.

Too bad Vick's arm strength is wasted on the fact that his accuracy SUCKS ASS.

If he was so great at all of the attributes that you are selling, why did the Falcons NEVER have back to back winning season? Why did he never have a completion % above 60%? Why is his career QB passer rating only 75%? Why did he have int and fumbles at astronomical proportions when he played?

The answer to all of these is because he SUCKS as a passing QB. Plain and simple. Not because of his race....but because he does not posess the skillset to be an accurate passer.

Please take your racist rhetoric to another team's site. Maybe you can convince them that they need a black QB....even though he sucks.

That is all.
