Panthers meet with Tim Tebow

Yasinskas chimes in.But take it with a grain of salt.I remember him saying Matt Moore would be nothing but a #3..smh

But, seriously, have you seen him throw a football? He’s not a full-time starting NFL quarterback. Maybe he can be some sort of gimmick in a Wildcat offense. But do you seriously think John Fox is going to run the Wildcat on a full-time basis? No way. Fox is stubborn and whoever is quarterback is will be a game manager, who also is a classic drop-back passer when he does get the chance to throw

There are, as I said in another thread, several pretty good football talent evaluators (Tony Dungy, Jon Gruden, and Gil Brandt) among them who say that The Golden Calf of Bristol is a can't miss QB in the NFL.

Now, I know that Gruden, Dungy, Brandt can't compete with the talent evaluators on the carolinahuddle.com, just thought I'd pass along their thoughts, as seeing how they actually drafted people to play in the NFL.

The kid too, is doing what lot of those other high power QBs aren't doing, he's meeting, greeting, and playing in a game he didn't have to play in...and as I watched the NFL channel he apparently had issues on Monday with a 103 degree fever and strep throat, but, was playing through it.

I don't pretend to know how he will do in the NFL. I know a lot of QBs (like Ryan Leaf, and David Carr, and Joey Harrington) had a lot better motion and a lot more practice under center, and we see how well that worked. He is a leader, he has a work ethic, and from what I could see of his arm in bowl games, that looked pretty good too...

...if he just hadn't cried.....

When you look at The Golden Calf of Bristol as a person - his character, his toughness, his demeanor, his leadership skills, and the way he conducts himself in general - he's exactly the kind of guy that I would love to have as a Panther.

When you look at him as a player, though - especially as a quarterback - that's where I balk.

As good a kid as he is, his skill set doesn't translate well to being a QB at the pro level.

My vote would be a no.

Great post. Even Todd McShay, who I think has been pretty harsh on him said the first day of practices to not judge him on where he was at starting this week, but rather, judge him on whether he improves throughout the week.

McShay has said he has looked better everyday since.
