Vikings will conduct an "in-depth study"

fumbling issues are not really hard to get rid of if you can pinpoint the exact cause.

with DeAngelo i think it was stretching his arms out with the ball to get the most yardage at the end of a run when the first priority is always securing the ball. I think ironically Foster told him to stop doing that.

with Barber it was carrying the football the conventional way - horizontally, that coughlin changed by telling him to carry it vertically. AP might have to learn to carry it differently like Barber had to.

I've been looking at their W-L record when he fumbles along with his 100 yard games and doing some basic math and junk. I have class so I can't do it right now but I'll try and cook something up later. If somebody wants to take that idea and run with it be my guest. I should have done it during my BS music appriciation but now I have to go to microeconomics, boo.

I'm trying to to see how much the good outweighs the bad. How much he hurts the team and how much he helps.

They need to conduct an in-depth study? It's called wrapping the ball up and they teach it in pop warner, maybe he should go back and run some drills with the kids?

Thats what I'm thinking. How can fumbling be a mental error? I guess if your not smart with the football like always sticking it out there is mental, but seems to me Peterson has a holding the ball problem, and has trouble keeping it tight and close to his body.

AD's screwed...he has the yips. Killed golfers and pitchers for years. Once it gets in your head, you are done.

pathetic. They call him the best RB in the NFL. He isn't even on my top 5 list.

Ball security is PARAMONT with a starting RB.

Not in "your top 5 list"...well it's a good thing you aren't an NFL GM isn't it!

Ok here's what I put together

They are 14-6 when he goes over 100 yards, 3-1 with favre

9-1 when he goes over 125, 3-0 with favre

5-1when he goes over 150, 1-0 with favre

2-0 when he breaks 200

16-13 when he is held under 100 yards, 10-3 with favre

5-2 when he is held under 50, 0-2 with favre

They are 9-7 when he fumbles, 4-2 with favre

21-13 when he doesn't, 9-3 with favre

6-2 when he fumbles and goes over 100 yards, 1-1 with favre

3-5 when he fumbles and is held under 100 yards, 3-1 with favre

24-12 when he and chester taylor go over 100 yards, 9-2 with favre

k I'm tired of this I'll add more later. These figures may be off by 1-2 games. I can't guarantee I lost count somewhere or had a brainfart but i doublechecked so it should be pretty solid.

Peterson was not the dominant back this season that he was the previous few.

He still had fumble issues.

He was not breaking off the long runs.

He struggled to go over 100 yards the entire 2nd half of the season.

AD is a very good back....but DWill, Johnson, etc. have proven to be just as potent as AD
