Is it possible to play any dirtier than the saints defense just played?

You couldn't be further from the truth if you tried.

But please, try harder.

I'll give you the Cowboy game was our one "beatdown" this year, even though we had the ball down 7 with two minutes left. Yeh, we got lucky versus the Vikings, some of that luck was caused by our own actions, but still luck. The bottom line is, after 42 years of no Super Bowl appearances, no Saints fan should defend our team when people say we got lucky to finally get here. The fact is, we're here and should be content with that no matter how we achieved this goal. You don't survive a walk through the Sahara Desert and when you get out complain how your feet hurt.

we have the chance to find the nut ie. superbowl win, you don't.

Saint J I did not have a preference on who won the game, I just wanted to watch a good football game. I have to tell you though by the end of the game I was rooting for the Vikings to win. I understand that the defense needs to get to the quarterback, but there is a right way and a wrong way to do it. Your team chose the wrong way. It became painfully obvious that the main goal was to take Farve out of the game by any means necessary and when a team does that it tarnishes that victory and tarnishes the superbowl which should be played by two teams who have great skills and great character.

this sums it as well as ive read so far...

1. Memo to Viking fans who wish to do nothing but bash the referees: You are making fools of yourselves. That interference call against Ben Leber was probably a bad call but so what? Had the Saints lost, they could’ve screamed and yelled forever about the roughing the passer call against Anthony Hargrove, or even the earlier unnecessary roughness call against Bobby McCray where he ran Brett Favre over at a point where Favre was basically a blocker. Actually, if you add the whole game up, the Saints probably have a greater gripe against the officiating than the Vikings do. But, in truth, neither fanbase should be focusing on the referees in the wake of that mess. Blaming the refs is what nitwits do who are unwilling to see the reality of the situation, or simply do not have a grasp of reality.

"Peyton Manning is one of the best QBs in the league against the blitz. The Jets are one of the best blitzing defenses. Something had to give on Sunday and it wasn't Manning. The All-Pro QB slowed down the blitz by taking longer drops. Manning completed 80% of his passes and compiled a QB rating of 152.1 when using the 7-step drop against the Jets pass rush."

Jets pass rush is miles ahead of Saints. Colts pass blocking is one of the best in the league, if not the best.

How will we ever beat a team with a good qb?!!

Hey, doomer...the Saints will lose very painfully....the football gods got even with the Vikes for running up the score on the 'Boys. Your time's coming in the SB for cheap shotting Farve! If I'm wrong, I'll eat crow on this sight. If I'm right, show up and take your medicine, Sir!:sifone:

The only luck the Saints had last night was Favre's numbskull move of throwing across the field instead of running and sliding on that last INT. You should have lost, you know you should have lost, and Manning will not make a mistake like that.

Should have lost? Scoreboard my friend. I will concede that in a tight game with the score tied like that I have been on the wrong end of way too many losing FG's and that is what I thought was occuring again. I was texting my cousin that it sucks it came down to an ending like this when they threw the flag for 12 men in the huddle. Then the boneheaded INT by Favre. I couldn't believe it. But, hell yeah I will take it as you or any fan of their team would. Perhaps it was luck but anything can happen in a football game. Anything. And you know that yourself.

You guys wish the Favres would have won and I am ok with that. But they didn't and I don't think it is fair to say the Saints don't deserve it. All 32 teams began fighting for this thing back in June. Only two can make it and we are one of the two.

I am looking forward to seeing if Peyton can call out our Defense like he did the Jets. The guy is just incredible. There is no other way to describe him. One thing for sure we wont just roll over but to win it all will be tougher than words can describe.
