Is it possible to play any dirtier than the saints defense just played?

I don't blame the Saints D, they were playing hard and like they wanted to win. I thought coming into the game that the Vikings D line was going to be all over Brees all game, and make his life miserable. However, it was the Saints D line that was the dominant force in this game.

I do blame the refs for some very questionable calls, though. The high low on Favre, where he was hit in the knees was an obvious roughing, the phantom DPI and BS catch in OT to keep the drive alive were the most obvious.

i still remember that bullshit fujita pulled on steve smith a few years back, taking him out from behind at his knees after the play was over. that was a dick move.

I about come out of my Chair when I saw that. Worst part SOB was never flagged on it. I remember Smitty going to the sidelines and I though he was done for the year but he came back same game. F_CK Fujita. That was one of the most blantant attempts at injuring someone and the NFL did nothing because it was the Katrina ridden New Orleans Saints. PLEASE!!!!!!! Anyone on any other team would have fined.

Go Panthers

saints have always been dirty---even when they sucked.. fajita is a douche.their DBs hold and grab on every pass play and they are the king of late-hits. my question is how was the high/low hit on favre that resulted in vilma's interception not a personal foul?????? if that had been brady, both players would've been ejected and a double foul called. the NFL officiating has been really showcased this year for the terrible calls and even worse no-calls.

The refs were calling penalitits left and right on the Saints. They were protecting Farve. When a 'cheap shot' was taken it was flagged. Any other hit on farve was legit. If it wasn't then flags would have flown like it was the 4th of July.

The Saints played the Vikes in the EXACT same way y'all wanted the Panthers to play the Saints. I remember seeing y'all calling for Bree's head, knees, arm etc. and some even wishing death upon the city. What hypocrits!

You mean you wanted to play the Vikings the way we did. But you couldn't get him they way we did so you referred to cheap shots.

We may have wanted all the above but we would have had it legitimately. Wanting to put a hurting on a QB is part of the game. Trying to take a guy out of the game so you can reach the Super Bowl is lower than snail $h_T.

So taking out a QB's knees after the ball is long gone, that's legit?

the Saints will get demolished in the super bowl.

Please keep pulling against us; it's working like a charm. You've been wrong for 2 straight weeks now, lets make it a third!

Horribly officiated game in the Saints favor and horribly dirty play by the Saints. I always thought refs were supposed to remove themselves from the game the later it got, for instance, don't make a call that could potentially decide a game in the 4th Qtr or OT unless it is blatant.

Those refs made 3 or 4 straight calls in OT that didn't have to be made that decided the game. Like the pass interferences on Colston...

Anyone remember Favre's pass to Berrian I think on the last drive, he threw it back shoulder into double coverage and Berrian had to reach all the way back and catch it with a guy hanging on his back? Shaincoe had his undershirt completely pulled and torn on his one-handed catch early on, and they didn't make a call with ref looking right at.

The spots in OT were both pretty bad. The 3rd down catch by Henderson at the marker... He didn't possess it until he sat down, and when he did that, the ball was a good yard short of the marker, at least half a yard.

Then the 4th down run spot where Thomas jumped over the pile... Pathetic. It did look like he got it initially, but the replay showed the ball was knocked out at the firs down marker into his stomach... So the spot should've been a few inches short of a first down. Add that spot to the few inches they were given on the 3rd down spot and there you go, they would've been well short on 4th down. Just horribly officiated.

I told my friend during the game there was no way the officials were going to reverse those spots on 3rd and 4th down, especially 4th down, in New Orleans, or they wouldn't make it out alive. Pussies.

The multiple blatant hits on Favre, it was clear they were trying to take the "old guy" out. Filthy.

I was really disappointed in the ending of this game. I honestly hope the NFL changes their OT rule in the offseason if it's possible. Just add another period of play like the NBA does, just play an extra period out. That way refs can't decide the game on one drive like they did last night.

There is NO doubt in my mind that they sent guys one-second late for the sole purpose of hitting Favre the second he threw the ball. Not to go after the ball, not to sack him, no...to pound him into the ground as soon as he threw it.

I have NO CLUE why the Vikes protection went to poo. The Colts supposedly have great protection. After seeing this cheap crap let's hope the Colts gameplan properly.

Yeah great strategy. Lets hit him after he throws the ball...your a genius.

The Vikings had two drives that ended in TD's because of BS officiating calls.

Both teams fought hard and the Saints came out on top. Live with it.
