Charlotte could learn from orlando

I sat next to the Orlando bench last night. Those guys genuinely have fun out there. They had an almost college enthusiasm. Even during warmups when they had a globe trotter like mini dunk/layup contest that the crowd loved. During breaks they would actually watch and cheer for the fans doing the contests on the court. After each score Jason Williams would do a very subtle booty dance that had his team laughing. They played loose on the court because they were loose. They had the most fun, and it was the difference in OT.

Charlotte can learn something there.

Yeah but what if Charlotte won by 30 last night? The same argument could be made that Orlando needed to be more focused. Donovan McNabb was real loose when he was playing guitar hero coming out of the tunnel in Dallas.....that turned out well.

I agree with what RadioKiller in that it is easy to be loose when you have so much talent and are a top team in the East. Bobcats are fighting to become relevant and make the playoffs for the first time. Plus, having a loose team in not really Larry Brown's style.

I think team chemistry is more important in the NBA than any other sport. When the Hornets made their run a few years back the team was like a family and had fun every night no matter the outcome. A year later it looked like they wanted to murder Byron Scott.

Who are these "Hornets" you speak of? LOL

Yep, more swagger. Plus, if they are trying to win over the fan base they need to realize what they do is entertainment. Make it fun for the fans every second you are on the court. Even during warm ups.

True, but the best kind of entertainment is winning. If this team could become a consistent playoff contender then I believe folks would start coming out.

IMO, they need to break the bank and bring in one more Stephen Jackson caliber guy to push this team over the top. Chris Bosh or Amare Stoudemire anyone?

Would we be able to afford them?

I definitely wouldn't try to trade for any expirings this year that could hurt our current morale/chemistry.

    • Film Room Playlist _ NFL Pro — Mozilla Firefox 2024-11-25 10-20-11.mp4 🎯🎯🎯 There were a couple of "fans" yesterday saying that this wasn't a helmet-to-helmet shot... 👀 Looks like based on where Moore was and where the play ended, he'd have gotten maybe just a yard or two more. Chuba was downed at the KC 16 and Moore was on his way back to the QB, so the offense got what they could for the most part. After reviewing the all-22, Bryce made the right call here. Tremble was the hot and KC sent both LBs. He gets it out with a clear pocket but it's quickly collapsing. If there was a little more time it looked like AT came free at the end but whether or not Bryce would've been upright still is another story. Smart move to get the completion and keep the field goal in play to stay alive. George Karlaftis is about to get himself a big ole hug and Bryce heaves it to where David Moore is going. Trent McDuffie slipped just a step or two before this shot, but we can see the clear DPI here as he's wrapped around David Moore before knocking him over as the ball gets there.
    • I’m taking a TE early day 3 Ian Thomas and Tremble are FA.  We should have no desire to bring them back.   There’s more than enough film of ball bouncing off their hands or facemask.
    • Daniel Jones sometimes would sling it for 300 or 400 yards.  That's my stance.  We know what Bryce is.  If you consistently play any QB at this level, they largely are going to end up w/ some good days/games.  last time Mahomes was at BOA, Teddy Bridgwater threw for 300+ yards and a couple TDs and the Matt Rhule Panthers almost took him down.  We know what Bryce is.  Now we got people predictably falling into a predictable trap.
