you park billions into a sports team so your net worth grows.   That is why Tepper is here.   That is purpose and priority #1.   professional sports teams have been fantastic investment vehicles for folks the last several decades.   It just financial diversification for the mega wealthy.

Ehhh he’s never going to see that money. For what he spent on the team, it’s a toy.

Reich did, was it the second or third, press conference barely looking up from the podium

he has no fire and  the NFL  demands it …you want injured players…tired players to walk through fire for ya, it ain’t gonna happen that way

you have to believe when you lead…Frank doesn’t …his body language says it

tepper also gave Frank what he asked for…that ‘all star’ staff lol

Therefore, Tepper expects return in the investment and he isn’t getting it

I believe Tepper also hedged his bets this time and hired the guy who brings in the 2 young coordinators who at the end of this year replaces Reich in case Reich fails

failing was predictable when systems are put in place the current personnel does not match

as for me, well, as  the country song goes, ‘my give a damn’ is broken

Word was that he was fired when he was in Indy because the locker room had just completely quit on him.

This Athletic article snippet had me feeling suspect as soon as I started digging around. Seems like same bs. At least Ron would give it to them even if he was part of the problem lol.

As Reich took his place in front of his team in the locker room at halftime of Sunday’s game, according to players, he made his feelings clear. He was stern. He did not equivocate. Oh, he made his point.

And, yet, he never cursed. Never said a cross word.

“The most angry we’ve probably seen him,” linebacker Anthony Walker said. “But he didn’t even cuss, if you can believe that. He barely even raised his voice, really.”

Across the room, receiver T.Y. Hilton was focused. Reich had his undivided attention.

“You probably wouldn’t even know he was mad,” Hilton said. “But being that we know him, we could tell he was pretty mad. I don’t think I’ve ever heard him curse. I don’t know how he does it, man.”

I mean, that doesn't really bother me. Ultimately it's not about the coaching style that gets players' respect. If they think you can help the team win games and help them advance their careers they're gonna respect you and tune in. If they don't they won't. I honestly think it's just that simple.

I’m not sure how Pat rubs folks here so wrong

I kinda turned off on Pat during the offseason last year, when every show was "dudezzz, when are the panthers gonna finally trade for OUR BOI Baker Mayfield !!!1"

....and then proceeded to be quiet once everyone realized it wasn't a good fit.

I get that take. I also don’t watch him anymore but it sort of surprised me how many folks make it sound like he’s the podcast version of scum of the earth lol

    • They gave him franchise QB money. Sorry but if you don't earn it you can be embarrassed.   He's rich he can take it. Stop feeling sorry for people who can't live up to their contract. This isn't a sport to be soft. Daniels deserves to give back some of that money he stole if you ask me.
    • And it was coming off of a bye week. Perhaps he should vacation a bit in Germany in the off season, something certainly seemed to help him there.  No, really... He showed maturation and the possibility that he's turning a corner. That wasn't the NY Giants out there, but the back to back Super Bowl champions with the #3 defense in the league, with them coming off of a prime time loss. And that was a 9-1 team we just played literally down to the last second. Bryce played so well that maybe, maybe he wins over some nay-sayers. It's still early, though, but what a nice breath of fresh air that was. You can win quite a few games if that is your normal performance. It is obvious that we are still on the learning curve, though. But that was one helluva test he just took. Some of these QBs coming out of college just don't have a lot of games under their belts, especially in top end programs. They are perhaps just a year to two years behind center in games that matter before they move up. It can take them some time to hit their stride. We can still be cautious about our future and still celebrate a great game by the kid, though, and we should. He earned the laurels today, or had before they were snatched away at the last second.
