So no you didn’t realize that.

He placed the ball where Hurst had no chance to catch it. The worst part of that play was the play call on 4th and 1 to try the throw so yes I suppose it's possible there was miscommunication since it was idiotic for that to be the throw in the first place

Rewatch the game from today, watch all Tua’s deep passes. Clean pocket, plenty of room in front of him. We have probably the worst interior OL in the NFL and pressure up the middle is going to majorly affect a quarterbacks accuracy. You can not just sit there and say pressure doesn’t matter. Pressure is going to majorly impact any quarterback attempting a deep pass.

His go ball is definitely off rn and he will have to work on throwing it in tighter spaces. I don’t think he trusts Chark either, who is really our only go ball option.

Yeah, if we recreate the Dolphins or Niners situation then Bryce has a chance. What's our chances of recreating those scenarios though? Good OL, offensive genius of a coach, elite weapons everywhere. That's all we need.

He placed the ball where he thought Hurst was supposed to be. Had Hurst not tried to break it off towards the front pylon and went for the back one it would’ve hit him

like I said, I can’t write this kid off until they get him a WR worth a damn. Can’t imagine many others teams separation numbers look like this after a game

When you're consistently throwing the ball within 5 yards from the los your numbers will be bad regardless. I feel like shenault can run routes other then a bubble screen. The wrs aren't good but oline and play calling aren't helping

And you know the route that was called?

Good lord man. Do you have eyes? Hurst was trying to get to the front pylon. Bryce threw it to the back. I don’t know whose was in the wrong but that’s why the throw landed 5 yards away from Hurst

It’s sad this even needed to be explained.

Well we know no one is scared of Shenault as a receiver. Mingo is a rookie. TMJ just stinks. Chark is becoming a victim of both poor coaching and defenses playing him differently knowing we haven't had a good downfield pass in weeks. Let's be honest. The last one was in Seattle.

Can’t go vertical, he just can not do it. Take it out of the playbook. Doesn’t have the arm strength.

This was 2 years ago which is further away from relevant.....i have stated plenty of times on here if you watch his tape in 2021 and compare it to 2022 his throws were not the same. 2021 he was rifling all over the place off arm strength and didnt have to put so much of his body into his throws like he does now. Last year, his balls were sailing, under thrown, or just flat out inaccurate. Now Apparently a lot of that has carried over to the pros.

I don’t think Chark is much of a route runner to begin with. Basically a go or a deep over type guy and that’s about it. So far Mingo’s route running has been awful. Rookie or not he’s been playing WR for too long for him to be making the mistakes he’s made. Yeah TMJ stinks period

But yeah obviously I’ve had my concerns with Bryce but I thought he’s shown some good stuff the last 2 games. Against some pretty good defenses with Adam Thielen being his only “weapon”

    • He made some excellent throws but he always has made some excellent throws here and there. I don't know what to think, which is what I was apprehensive about. Is he going to have a decent downfield game? Because okay Legette dropped one, but someone was giving stats prior to the bye or during it where he had two downfield completions and one of them was the jump ball that is just launched and fingers are crossed that our guy comes down with it, and yesterday we saw that again. The Russell Wilson school of downfield passing.  I don't feel like that is sustainable, but at the same time you have to do Something to make the defense understand they have to defend that downfield throws. Like i said, confused.  I guess I'm going to review the game for myself and look closely at his mechanics and stuff because if he actually fixed that stuff it explains the better throws. And that has been my biggest objection, or what I see as the thing that makes or breaks his chances, that unorthodox dropback and tippy toe action and not having his feet set which limits velocity etc etc.
    • The negative Nancy in me (or objective?) says that they had a bye week to prepare for the Chiefs. However, it’s one thing to have a good plan and it’s another to actually execute it. For all the flack he’s received (from me as well), Bryce seemingly has put his head down and worked his tail off and his play is giving me hope. The first 18-game Bryce showed no progression whatsoever. He gets benched, comes back, and has shown steady progress every week he has started. I think I’m starting to see what the Bryce lovers and unconditional defenders were saying all along, and I hope he can show that on a regular basis for the sake of our QB1 position.
    • Yeah, we could still very well end up 4-13 with the 2nd pick.   I think LVR has the inside track for 1, with only a JAX team as a team on docket that could be beatable.
