Steve Smith in Melbourne Australia at the Aussie Open

Was watching some Australian Open tennis on ESPN (about 2am Friday) and they were showing American and fellow North Carolinian (from Greensboro) John Isner's match and they cut away to his cheering box and did a quick interview of Steve Smith. Throughout the match they would show him also. Apparently John Isner is a big Panthers fan and Smitty is a Isner fan. Few days ago Terrell Owens was in Australia also supporting Andy Roddick.

Don't post ever, but read alot -- just thought I'd share.

No sorry -- not unless someone else got it or ESPN put it somewhere. It evidently is 100 degrees there in Australia today also, Smitty had a had on -- blocking that sun I'd imagine.

Oh I meant to add that Pam Shriver (lady who interviewed him) asked him how fast he was compared to TO and Smitty said he respected TO but that he'd beat him by at least 10 yards in whatever.

Thats kinda weird, both Smitty and Owens in Austrailia, watching tennis.....we just hired Buffalos WR coach......hmmmmm. Not trying to start any rumors here, but do you think its a plot to get T.O. to play in Carolina?

Oh man that is quite a thought u got goin on there buddy. Much better than mine. I thought Smitty wanted to get traded to the buccs b/c of the colors he is wearing there or even worse, he is wearing Atlanta gear, maybe he would rather play there. What ya think? As long as we get TO, who cares right?

well, not too keen on the idea of Owens ever playing for the Panthers, but not so much worry about Smitty. He is always rockin a Braves hat....

John Isner went to my high school, I actually had a class with the guy at one point. He's a real tall guy.
