Ryne Robinson attempting a return?

Mr. Scot

good to hear. i hope nothing but the best for him. the kid had a lot of spirit in him and was willing to take some risks to get his chance. i hope he gets a chance somewhere. hopefully it's here and he can blow it up.

Ry had to have surgery again on his knee a couple months ago and is doing well. He is a friend of mine and is going to try to come back. Just to give you some insight on last year. He had pain in his knee and never was 100% healthy. The Panthers kept saying, you're ok you're ok, when in fact he just wasn't ready. When he was cut last year, the titans wanted him to come in and be a PR. He could've gone there but he knew that the team would have noticed he was NOT 100%. He would have really hurt his career even more if he had done that. I wish him well as he is a really great guy.

Note: there is more to the story about the Panthers and how they handled his injury that I won't go into but it really disappointed me hearing it. NFL can be ruthless when it comes to injuries

He is ready to be 100%. He will land on someone's roster next year

I was thinking more about his impact on special teams....he was really improving as a KR before his injury.

Robinson for 95% of the season, was down right pathetic in the return game........improving on pathetic isn't that promosing. Just a sign that our return game has been so sad...for so many years that people that poor play is good.

He had moments at WR.....but Carolina needs to look forward and not in the past at that position.

Not if your name is Jonathan Stewart.

I know Matt Jones is a head case but I would still like to bring in him to camp at least

haha aggielean nice name...you wouldnt happen to have spent some time in NC A&T band?....anyway i thought ryne robinson was going to be decent after the first season but the nfl is a beast...i am not expecting much from him

lol, no I wasnt in the band but I went to school there for 2 years.

typical Panthers- always looking back instead of forward...

after reading some of your previous and past posts, you really dont need to criticize the Panthers. Especially for "looking back instead of forward".

lol

He had a couple decent returns towards the end of '07, and I guess you could say he was "improving," but overall his return game wasn't much better than what we had this last year. He wouldn't be an upgrade.

overall, I think you have to say he was worse or equally as sad as what we saw this year. Robinson isn't an NFL return man. The Captain experience should be over. He is a promosing CB and nothing more.

With all the problems the Panthers had with Danny Crossman's special teams, it's very foolish to pin the struggles on only one person.

I'm willing to bet if we had access to endzone cams we'd see almost nothing resembling return lanes in 2007.

I don't know I think the talent is there in Captain to be a good return man. He's definitely quick enough but he belongs at CB, he's too promising at the position to risk him getting hurt.
