King Taharqa is one of the greatest posters in Carolina Huddle history. People like Bleys read his every post, and even though they claim he's a "racist" because he defends the black athletes people like Bleys hate, they refuse to put him on ignore.

You guys have deluded yourselves into believing your Vick hate comes from a positive place. That wishing bad on him makes you one of the good guys. Its got you guys hating me now. I just hope you teach your kids better for all of our sakes. Oh yeah, dont forget to watch Vick's show, being you hate him and all.

If only you took time to know who the person is that sits behind the name on this forum, you would feel really ignorant for this post.

You have no idea who I am or my beliefs.. if only you knew the hurt I feel by reading the words you write and the ideas you base on assumptions..

You are so blind that no matter what reason I have for not liking Vick and pointing out other black QBs I WOULD take, nothing means anything to you. You ignore one and harp on the other. You want me to be racist. However, if you knew me, you would realize very quickly how ignorant you are for saying the things you do.

It is sad and the dozens of black people who are my true friends are also hurt by your words...

Vick isn't even an issue to me.. It's your prejudice that is.

How I feel about Vick means nothing.. I do not feel he is a great QB. There is a larger issue that hurts deep, and it's knowing no matter how many people are out there trying to squash any and all black -vs- white.. you keep it alive.

My grandparents raised my parents right. My parents raised me right. Generations of my family have no issue with race. Yet you act like you know me. Pure ignorance.

Why would you rather me ignore you? I'd rather enjoy to read your posts without all your prejudice and hate. The fact that you think I am hating on anyone shows me how blind you are. I'd love for Vick to be a great QB and come play for our team. But I do not feel he is a good QB and would rather have McNabb or even Garrard. For some reason you ignore this and think I am hating on Vick because he's black?

If after you read this post and still think I am the one hating.. then perhaps putting you on ignore is the best option. I guess it does make sense to spend my time reading people supporting the cause than trying to tear it down..

My last post, if you cannot move forward, then continue to tear down the dream... You supporting a black athlete has nothing to do with how you are pre-judging me for something you have absolutely no idea about. It is hard to come to any other conclusion than you are one of the most prejudice of any person I have ever met.

To gain anything other than how I yearn for you to open your mind from my posts baffles me. But that is a problem I'll have to get over. I do not expect you to lose your racism and prejudice. I can only hope one day you will free yourself from it..

Vick could've died in prison. He could've turned to drugs and ended up with a needle in his arm. He could've opted not to play in the NFL. But he didnt, he kept his head up and took it all on. HE'S BACK BABY!!! The haters dont want his story to have a happy ending. They want Vick to leave this earth in a reign of gunfire or back in jail. Thats why they will be watching this show and follow every piece of news they can get on him. Vick needs even these "fans" if he aims to make it back to where he fell from. These "fans" keep him hungry, they keep him motivated, they keep his name out there.

Saw the last 10 minutes of it. It was decent from what I saw. I'll have to catch a rerun sometime this week.

Saw the previews of next week, and he was saying his only wish was to be able to play football again. Gotta see next weeks episode.

I missed it.how was it?

It was pretty good. He went into detail about how he got involved in dog fighting and it showed how the ordeal affected his family. He was very candid about what he did. Its 10 episodes, this was just the first one.

I saw a decent amount of it the other night and I will say that BET has taken great pains to make him look at good as possible.

That being said, watching it did make me think more about the nature of hate and forgiveness personally. I hate Vick because he beat us so badly, because he's a thug and actually managed to make Atlanta fans even worse douchebags than they already were, and because he took down the franchise with him because he was plain stupid - AND he kept denying all this until the last possible moment. It's that last part that really gets on my nerves, because that "save my own ass at any cost" character trait is one that to me defines a person.

I am sure he's all humble now, and smarter, and may turn into a decent guy. But all he did was take his circumstances and played them as well as he could - I want to think that he is truly a reformed person, but I've seen this stuff happen once too often to fall for it yet.
