Vick tells his story

I do not like nor respect Vick. It's been years of irritation, disrespect, and now disbelief.

I do not see the color of his skin. I see a man who has mad running skills and some fantastic skills as an athlete but I don't see him as a QB. McNabb, McNair, & Garrard are all QBs I would have loved to see in a Panther uniform because I think they had/have the skill set, abilities, and leadership to be successful starters on our roster.

I've watched Vick get too enamored with his celebrity - his cult of personality - and make some horrendous mistakes. He has paid his dues and I am glad to see that he's accepted and admitted his mistakes.

I don't see anyone else making the kind of enormous errors in judgment that he's made and getting second chances in the SAME job. I also can not and would not forgive a player who flips his OWN damn fans off in their house. That's not a player I would want to see on the Panthers roster.

It is simply that I do not support, respect, or like Vick in any way. I think he's thrown a lot away and still is making some excuses to account for his actions. It's not a black culture thing. It was an act of arrogance in believing that he was untouchable and stupidity that when he committed these acts, that there was nothing wrong, immoral or illegal about his actions. The cruelty to animals doesn't go away simply because he served time. There is something in HIM that is startling and frightening psychologically because he committed these heinous acts against animals, specifically animals who look to man with deference and trust and didn't hesitate to commit.

We've seen his meltdowns when the pressure is at its zenith for a player. I do not want to see him in a Panthers uniform. It's never been a white or black thing for me at all.

I think it's wonderful he has a man like Tony Dungy to mentor him now because Dungy is certainly someone who I respect and admire on EVERY level. I wish Vick well but I don't ever want to see him wearing Panthers colors. He is one of a very select few that I feel that strongly about. We've had enough character issues with other players on the Panthers roster.

Look man, I know it may be a lot for your tiny, racist, white mind to comprehend, but just because Vick isn't a very good quarterback, person, role model, or even that great of a criminal doesn't change the fact that he survived prison and, in theory, might have possibly paid his debt to society. And for that, he's one of the all-time greats.

Can we stop beating this dead horse please?

People arent talking about McNabb & Vince Young to Carolina. If they were, we'd have a problem with them too. Itd be McNabb is a choker and too old, and Young is stupid and aint really a QB. Both have too much melainin in their skin. As long as its not in our backyard, its OK to praise those guys from afar. But no one is realistically lobbying for us to bring em in. They're just token names to throw out there to say we like, but come draft day or offseason we make sure to avoid QBs like them EVERYTIME. Same old lip service, but when its time to act, we dont believe in black QBs. Wont even draft one. We passed on Garrard, passed on Campbell, now we claim we want those guys. LOL. Yeah right. People keep talking about Vick in Carolina, so thats what drives the anger.

QB in Carolina is symbolic and has religious overtones, people care deeply about that symbol that represents them. You cant get people to hate a white QB the way they do Vick. They would've seen themselves in him and forgave him a long time ago. That anger and hate lasts a lifetime. People project their inner most negative thoughts and feelings about black QBs and young black males in general onto Vick. Look at Mr.Scot, he uses Vick as a boogeyman to scare people away from black QBs. He did it with Pat White, he did it with Vince Young, he did it with T-Jack. "Dont use a QB roster spot on a black man or he could be just like Vick!!! Our franchise will be destroyed!!! ARRGHHH!!!" Thats why even with the people backing him like Goodell & Dungy, they still see him as a no good thug that cant change for the better. Its not a coincidence you never see black people refer to Vick as the "thug" QB. Most black folks know what a real "thug" is, and Vick aint it. But seeing people call him that tells us alot more about them than him.

Last time you pulled this stunt I linked to the threads that showed you were lying, and I can again. This time though, I think I'm going to skip that for the moment and just report the post as a personal attack instead.

If you want to throw charges of racism out, you're going to need to be able to show actual racist statements. Otherwise, your charge amounts to little more than a personal attack. Not only can you not show actual racism here, but I can show where statements you've made about what I've said before have been lies.

Bottom Line: If you can't argue without lying about what people have said and calling people racist without any foundation to do so, you don't need to be arguing at all.

KT must keep the racism alive or what else would he be able to contribute?

I use to like his posts, but being accused as a racist from a racist is unbelievable... cannot fathom such things..

He assumes everything and proves nothing...

People tell him they would love a black QB, such as Garrard or McNabb.. but he is prejudice and discriminates, assuming all white people would hate such an idea.

He is racist. He is a bigot.

The irony runs deep in all his posts...

King Taharqa is one of the greatest posters in Carolina Huddle history. People like Bleys read his every post, and even though they claim he's a "racist" because he defends the black athletes people like Bleys hate, they refuse to put him on ignore.

You guys have deluded yourselves into believing your Vick hate comes from a positive place. That wishing bad on him makes you one of the good guys. Its got you guys hating me now. I just hope you teach your kids better for all of our sakes. Oh yeah, dont forget to watch Vick's show, being you hate him and all.
