How do you know what venereal diseases Michael Vick has? Obssess much? :nonod:

Because your STD test results were accidentally mailed here, along with the list of potential lovers/carriers of the disease.

I did put return to sender on it though. Maybe you'll get it soon. :cheers2:

As an aside, I reject the notion that dogfighting is a "black culture" thing. That notion is no more valid than saying that single parent homes, welfare families or domestic violence are "black" issues. Being a stupid punk isn't in the least bit tied to anything about "black culture".

There are people of all races, colors and creeds who do moronic things. Animal cruelty is by no means unique or more closely tied to "black culture" than to any other race. To me, the whole Idea is ridiculous, regardless of whether you want to frame it as an explanation or as an excuse.

I've known loads of black people in my life (work in a predominantly black office now) and not a single one of them to whom I've spoken ever tried to justify the dogfighting thing to me as "something black people do". They all found it just as repugnant as I did. Opinions may have varied on Vick, but they didn't on dogfighting. The distaste was consistent.

Keyshawn Johnson once tried to say that the incident of Albert Haynesworth stepping on Andre Gurode's head was a "black man thing". My response - then and now - was that it isn't a "black man" thing. It's a "stupid man" thing. And that applies equally to this issue as well.

People dont hate Vick because of dogfighting. They hate him for being an NFL quarterback. Even now you hear people crying and bitching about Vick being able to resume his job as a million dollar football player. He plays with an athletic arrogance, a swagger that rubs some people the wrong way. He was a #1 draft pick who came in with alot of hype, at a position old school football said & still says black men cant lead or execute at. That hype, usually reserved for quarterbacks with a different look and background than Vick has made him one of the most popular athletes in America. But its also made him a marked man for criticism and hatred. Michael Vick has made plenty of mistakes in his young career. Getting involved with a rag tag inhumane gambling operation like dogfighting is one of em. But he's accepted responsibility for those actions and did his time in prison.

He's also proven to be a rare talent who brought together people from all walks of life with his play on the football field. He has reformed his attitude about what it means to be an NFL QB and a role model off the field. Vick's story is one of courage and hope for change. The way he handled the pressure of assimilating back into the NFL family along with the outside forces hell bent on seeing him fall was remarkable and Im glad Vick is making strides in his life. Having a Tony Dungy in his life to call on and talk to has been the difference in this young man's maturity and professionalism. His Eagles teammates love him, and the Eagles fans I talk to, some of them love him more than McNabb. He will be a starter again in the NFL. Get your haterade ready guys.

Yep. Everybody really hated Steve McNair too

(this is about as stupid as it gets)

And FYI, there's also this now from PFT:

David Jacobs said he supplied Vick with Steroids

Enjoy :D

Vick could've died in prison. He could've turned to drugs and ended up with a needle in his arm. He could've opted not to play in the NFL. But he didnt, he kept his head up and took it all on. HE'S BACK BABY!!! The haters dont want his story to have a happy ending. They want Vick to leave this earth in a reign of gunfire or back in jail. Thats why they will be watching this show and follow every piece of news they can get on him. Vick needs even these "fans" if he aims to make it back to where he fell from. These "fans" keep him hungry, they keep him motivated, they keep his name out there.

i mostly agree with you - he paid his dues, and now that he's back he's starting to shine again. more power to him. i'm not a vick "fan" (and i won't be unless he's brought to carolina, cause that's how i roll :) ) but i think it's a mistake to assume that all vick hatred was race-based. they don't hate him because he's an NFL quarterback that's black, they hate him because he's an NFL quarterback who killed dogs for fun.

KT.....suggestion.

Why don't you go to the home of every person you work with/for, kill their pet, no matter what it is, and see if you get your ******* job back.

As a matter of fact...just do it to ONE.....ONE.......

No need to get back with me, because I know the answer.

People dont hate Vick because of dogfighting.

Actually, some of us do hate him for that. Nice lies there.

They hate him for being an NFL quarterback.

Nope. We hate him for being a dumb idiot & killing dogs. It has nothing to do with being a QB. He isn't a NFL QB anyway thought. He just an NFL RB trying to be a QB. ;)

He was a #1 draft pick who came in with alot of hype, at a position old school football said & still says black men cant lead or execute at.

LMAO!! You're just reaching straws there, Kingy. A black man lead or execute a game. But Vick doesn't belong in that. McNabb & Vince Young are. I don't have a problem with those 2, while I do have a problem with Vick. Nice try.

That hype, usually reserved for quarterbacks with a different look and background than Vick has made him one of the most popular athletes in America.

Excuse, excuse of your there. Vick is popular because of his name & people don't know a real QB when they see Vick. They should look at McNabb instead of Vicky.

But its also made him a marked man for criticism and hatred.

Maybe that because he committed some crimes? Like the pot in the water & dogfighting. He deserve the hate & criticism for committing those crap.

Michael Vick has made plenty of mistakes in his young career.

Mistakes? He did them on purpose, so it's not a mistakes. It just not until he was caught that he is trying to act like a Saint. If he was never caught, he would continue to do it.

He's also proven to be a rare talent who brought together people from all walks of life with his play on the football field.

He has no rare talent at all. He is just a RB that try to be a QB. With how he can run better than throwing, there is nothing rare about that.

He will be a starter again in the NFL.

Doubt it. Even if he does, it won't be for long with how horrible he is with his arm compare to his legs. Once he lose his speed, he won't be a QB anymore. If he never has the speed, he wouldn't even be a starting QB in the NFL for long.

Get your haterade ready guys.

Say the black man who whine & cry about having no black QB as a starter here and claim racism when they don't get Vick or anyone else that is black. That what a racist usually sound like & that is from your mouth.

People arent talking about McNabb & Vince Young to Carolina. If they were, we'd have a problem with them too. Itd be McNabb is a choker and too old, and Young is stupid and aint really a QB. Both have too much melainin in their skin. As long as its not in our backyard, its OK to praise those guys from afar. But no one is realistically lobbying for us to bring em in. They're just token names to throw out there to say we like, but come draft day or offseason we make sure to avoid QBs like them EVERYTIME. Same old lip service, but when its time to act, we dont believe in black QBs. Wont even draft one. We passed on Garrard, passed on Campbell, now we claim we want those guys. LOL. Yeah right. People keep talking about Vick in Carolina, so thats what drives the anger.

QB in Carolina is symbolic and has religious overtones, people care deeply about that symbol that represents them. You cant get people to hate a white QB the way they do Vick. They would've seen themselves in him and forgave him a long time ago. That anger and hate lasts a lifetime. People project their inner most negative thoughts and feelings about black QBs and young black males in general onto Vick. Thats why even with the people backing him like Goodell & Dungy, they still see him as a no good thug that cant change for the better. Its not a coincidence you never see black people refer to Vick as the "thug" QB. Most black folks know what a real "thug" is, and Vick aint it. But seeing people call him that tells us alot more about them than him.

I do not like nor respect Vick. It's been years of irritation, disrespect, and now disbelief.

I do not see the color of his skin. I see a man who has mad running skills and some fantastic skills as an athlete but I don't see him as a QB. McNabb, McNair, & Garrard are all QBs I would have loved to see in a Panther uniform because I think they had/have the skill set, abilities, and leadership to be successful starters on our roster.

I've watched Vick get too enamored with his celebrity - his cult of personality - and make some horrendous mistakes. He has paid his dues and I am glad to see that he's accepted and admitted his mistakes.

I don't see anyone else making the kind of enormous errors in judgment that he's made and getting second chances in the SAME job. I also can not and would not forgive a player who flips his OWN damn fans off in their house. That's not a player I would want to see on the Panthers roster.

It is simply that I do not support, respect, or like Vick in any way. I think he's thrown a lot away and still is making some excuses to account for his actions. It's not a black culture thing. It was an act of arrogance in believing that he was untouchable and stupidity that when he committed these acts, that there was nothing wrong, immoral or illegal about his actions. The cruelty to animals doesn't go away simply because he served time. There is something in HIM that is startling and frightening psychologically because he committed these heinous acts against animals, specifically animals who look to man with deference and trust and didn't hesitate to commit.

We've seen his meltdowns when the pressure is at its zenith for a player. I do not want to see him in a Panthers uniform. It's never been a white or black thing for me at all.

I think it's wonderful he has a man like Tony Dungy to mentor him now because Dungy is certainly someone who I respect and admire on EVERY level. I wish Vick well but I don't ever want to see him wearing Panthers colors. He is one of a very select few that I feel that strongly about. We've had enough character issues with other players on the Panthers roster.
