North Carolina wouldn't be foolish enough to annex SC. Not only would their land be gained, but their IMMENSE debt as well. We got enough problems. SC is a nice place to visit, don't get me wrong. But I wouldn't want to live there. I fell in love with the Cape Fear area within a week of moving here.

The Upstate of SC is a great place to live. The Midlands are alright if you can bear the summers, and you live near Columbia.

NC is the same way. Western NC is the worst hell hole I've every visited. Its infested with backwards hicks, Floridians, and old people.

Raleigh is alright. Charlotte would be the only place I'd want to live.

From what I heard, western NC got a lot better once you left.

My cousin lives in the Santee area and I use to spend the Summers there. It was ok, but I couldn't stand living so far away from civilization. On the other hand, Charlotte is to big. I like moderate sized cities.

I live a mile from the SC line and i love both NC & SC and consider both my home...but if i've learned one thing from were i live it is that...NC has cheaper beer and SC has cheaper gas
