about time they admited it was time to rebuild this old team. I hate that they can't win much of anything this year.Going to get one of the top picks in the draft, plus gotta a bit of talent at the Rat's. Should be interesting to see what this team looks like next season.

Definitely time something happened. Think Brindamore is just gonna ride out his contract through next year and retire. Let's start getting help on the wing or keep Staal at winger, grab a young center, couple more forwards, couple dmen and start leaning back towards contending for the Cup!

We should end up with the first pick, so we'll probably get Hall, and can probably snag a good young defender in round 2. Maybe pick up some extra picks through some trades as well. We'd have a nice young core of players, also think it's time to see what some of the Rat's prospects can do in the NHL. Should definitely look completely different next season.

This season? No. He's done too much for the organization to just say "sorry, here's some cash." He has the rest of this season and next season to play out his contract. Then, if he wants out, we let him walk. If he wants a buy out, we do it, obviously. But we don't just make it a forgone conclusion. Not a smart move. Great leader. Great player. Great person. Let him stay through his contract.

Also, I want to see Borer and Bellemore get time on NHL ice next season. Gonna be great for us one day (especially Bellemore).

Some Info on the trading front, Darren Dreger is reporting that the Canes have asked Wallin and Whitney to wave their NTC. Expect a move soon Likely involving the Kings or Canucks. The link also shows who the Canes are trying to move.

Good list. Sucks to be losing Whitney. But, we do need to get younger. If we trade to the Canucks, who could we get though?

They better take Cullen off that list. I know the team wants to get younger but I would hate to lose him.

Cullen will be in Chicago for the playoffs. Whitney will be a King. Watch. Whitney will come back and sign as a UFA in the summer.
