who cares about Favre's personality or what all the heads say about AP. there is NOTHING that is worse than a division rival becoming a SB champion. I'd rather any team other than the saints, falcons and bucs win the title. Except the cowgirls and steelers.

Damn, why you hatin on the Steelers? :nonod: :D

there are too many of them in my office/city/state, and all they know how to do is hold up one hand along with one thumb, and say sixburgh. they can all shove that thumb up their ass, and slap them selves silly with the other hand. and how about they improve their own city/state instead of coming and messin' up mine with their bad driving and stupid bars/restaurants.

You can tell our fan base has not arrived. I heard a New England fan come on sirius and say he was going to pull for the Jets. There were probably 10 callers who were Patriots fans saying they couldn't beleive a Patriots would root for the jets no matter who was playing.

That is how I feel about the Saints. They are supposed to be a hated division rival. I can't believe any true Panther fan would root for them knowing that rooting for them is pulling for a division rival who will lord any success they have over our heads twice a year for forever. Don't people get tired of the Bucs pulling out the Super bowl they won back in 2002 even they have sucked since?

You can't like the Saints if you are truly a Panther fan. It is against the rules of everything decent in football. You have to hate division rivals, it is a rule!!!!!

Those of you rooting for the Saints can't be true Panther fans. Sorry.

And for the record, I stated why I hate Brett Favre and Jared Allen, and that's why I was not rooting for the Vikings. That does not mean I'm rooting for the Saints though.

I root for 3 things and 3 things only whenever Carolina is not in the playoffs:

1.) The money I placed for various futures or parlay bets, or Super Bowl squares

2.) Whoever is on my FF playoff team

3.) The complete destruction and dismantling of either the team that booted us from the playoffs, or whatever team played the biggest role in us not making the playoffs.

    • Easily. To be able to plug in a backup LT without much drop off from your starter? That could mean the difference between playoffs or sitting at home in January. Good/serviceable smart young and healthy LTs that won’t lose you a ball game at reasonable $$ don’t just come along every day. Picture next year… the team is scrappy and competitive, 4 and 3 record, second place in the South. Morale is good. devastating run game that Let’s our marginal defense get plenty of rest. We play the Bucs and win, going to 5 and 3, but we lose Ickey to a high ankle sprain. Atl loses that week and are now at 5 and 3 as well. There is no Ickey and no BC because we let him go… and we go in to Atl the next week for a battle of first in the south. Week after that is the Jets…. Now they lose both by 10 and 3, respectively, and fall to 5 and 5 going in to their bye week. Atl is at 7 and 3. Out of typical Panthers desperation, they try to rush Ickey back in to the lineup with a saints game coming up…  Back to good old Panthers football, always playing catchup. Another season at .500 and the fans sadly rejoice in mediocrity, when playoffs were in reach. This team always overestimates its ability to pick up quality o line depth in the draft or FA and it always blows up in their faces. Like Chuba, I see him as being part of the core that Dan is trying to build. Work on his contract now and see if we can come out with something mutually beneficial. I’d consider 3 yrs at $25m to be very fair.
    • it would be great to have "double trouble" again, I even had a T- shirt for Williams and Stewart and the double trouble logo, was a great time to be Panthers fan. We shall see...
    • Sounds like a plan. Those are the teams we should be mimicking! lol
