How Ironic......

Just change Colts for Chargers, and that was all I heard last week.....just sayin'

I was thinking the same thing. Before the Chargers/Jets game, I would never have bet that the Jets would beat the Chargers at home and hold them to 14 points. I think the Jets are going to pull some sneaky poo and wind up in the Superbowl.

I was thinking that same exact thing, remember the Bengals had that chance also. If you have a chance to eliminate a team, do it! Who thinks the NFL needs to look at teams going 100% for 16 games, Steeler fans? I do, the final week or two has become meaningless. Maybe if we added 2 teams, increasing playoffs to 6 teams per conference and no bye's?

The current playoff structure already has 6 teams per conference. I assume you mean 8 teams should make it...with no byes.

If the jets had been eliminated it would have opened up the door for another team who could be in this game this week as well. So Indy letting the Jets win and allowing them into the playoffs isn't a stupid move given it was the best thing for Indy at the time. If the Jets had been elimnated who would have taken their spot? Could that team potentially been in the championship game? Would it be more or less ironic if it were the other way around. The Colts kicked the Jets' butt to allow the other team in, then loses to that team in the Championship game.

Or if the Jets were out and the other team got in and lost to the Chargers who then beat the Colts this weekend, it could have been construed that the Colts were beating the Jets and let the other team in who gave the Chargers no competition. It would have been better to let the Jets win so that if they got on a roll and you played them in the Championship game you have a patsy you know you can beat like you were before.

The what if game.......................
