I like TJ’s stuff

Not a fan of Young’s footwork but knows it’s what he did at Bama. I think this came up before and that he keeps his shoulders square so he can stay on his toes to see the field 

Says the spacing on Young’s second INT was off. And seeing the above view it does look like Mingo ran his route short. But also mentions the same thing I did and that it was dead from the jump with the corner baiting him the entire time.

Other than that he showed a lot of good. Good short watch for those interested

Steve Smith put out a video recently discussing the Panthers and Bryce and mentioned the second INT and how the defender was able to make that play because Ian Thomas was supposed to be drawing the coverage, but because the defender didn't respect Ian's abilities as a receiver underneath he was able to drift back and make the play.

Thomas would’ve been better running his route at 3 yards depth or just jetting out to the sideline at the LOS. It also doesn’t help that it’s Ian Thomas. You can sag off Thomas and recover easily so it’s just a terrible concept to run with these two at these depths

I know everyone is all doom and gloom at the moment but Bryce has gotten better each week, relatively speaking for a rookie. The emphasis that he brings up is his footwork which I do agree, Bryce gets happy feet and that affects his timing. When you add the O-line being in shambles and WR's being slow af with the vanilla play calling. It's a lot for him. It all depends on what the coaching staff decides to do now. You hit rock bottom, how are you going to move forward and get back up?

Also we absolutely NEED to add a WR before the deadline for the sake of Young’s development

Here's an interesting one as well:

I think it's good to look at a large set of opinions in order to really read between the lines.  I was dead to the world yesterday so I had a chance to watch them.  For me, based on watching the game, and laying on my couch petting my dogs while watching youtube, there's hope.

We still have issues with guys not doing their jobs.  From the OL to WRs and TEs to the coaching - there are SO MANY issues with our performance, it becomes hard to hold Young completely accountable for the terrible performances.  While Young is not playing perfectly, he's a rookie, it's OK.  I'm not going to mention other QBs because everyone has a different situation.  Young is getting better, which is all we can ask.  

The coaches need to do a better job of scheming guys open, of using motion, of making everyone's life easier.  Tepper needs to just fug off - be a fan, go drink beer with ugly guys at the Huddle Tailgate, just leave the team operations to Frank and Scott.  You hired them - let them do their jobs.

The Bleav in Panthers podcast (https://bleav.com/shows/bleav-in-carolina-panthers/) had a really good episode this week with Curtis Whitley and some guys from the Miami show.  Whitley made a great point, when dealing with this kind of adversity - you find out what guys are playing for.  You have to have the leadership, which in our case is going to be developing.  

Overall, despite the losses, I don't feel like we're that far away from turning a corner.  I think after the bye, getting some of those injured players back, we can make some noise.  Then again, I am trying to be optimistic.  Why?  I'm happier that way.  I know, crazy stuff!

Damn that 30 yard potential TD pass to Tremble hit him on the hands. I thought it was deflected watching it live. That honestly was one of Young’s better passes.

After listening to the pressers and Bryce talking about plays he likes and what not I believe they need to see this through for the entire year. Now they’re simplifying stuff and having to change anything right now I’m not sure would be worth it.

Scott absolutely deserves to be fired for the mess at WR we have though.

I hate saying someone needs to be fired. These are real people with families that will be affected by a sudden job loss.

That said, Scott has done nothing to give us hope that this team is going to thrive going forward with him as GM. We've spent 2nd round choices on WR's two of the past 3 seasons (2021, 2023) who have had no significant impact on the playing field. We could have got similar production (and possibly better) from a 3rd or 4th round guy and use the 2nd rounders in those years to address bigger needs. Unfortunately, based on his drafting record he probably wouldn't have used those picks to get the right guys.  I can't imagine how sorry this offense would be if we hadn't been able to sign Theilan in the offseason.

Don’t care about these breakdowns. Kid is too short and displays no nfl level skill.  He fails the eye test in every category. The sooner y’all accept that the better off you’ll feel.
