An agreement may be reached by today, said the people, who asked not to be named because negotiations are private. The talks could still break down, said one of the people. NBC will pay about $40 million to O’Brien and members of his staff and will allow him to work at another network, both people said.

    • If Tepper hadn't ran this bitch into the ground there would still be Panthera fans in the stadium. As is, I can't at all blame PSL holders for selling the few tickets they can actually get premium pricing for.
    • Not to mention he is showing signs that he COULD be the franchise's next Greg Olson. We should all hope he is fine.
    • Isn't that what skeptics are referring to? We would be ecstatic about that from our first overall pick? That's how low we've dropped the bar already. This is not a mid round QB. That's why these discussions get so tense. People struggle to separate Bryce Young the person from what Bryce Young the first overall pick is expected to be. And we have only moved further and further away from the narrative surrounding him before the draft that he was such a great prospect that he did not need to be surrounded by elite players to look like a franchise QB. He would elevate those around him. Until he does that IMO you keep bringing in competition and pushing him. Otherwise we are not a serious franchise.
