Im not saying that I disagree with you about Beason, but couldnt you say the same thing about Revis, or any other great player for that matter? Isnt that one of the hallmarks of a great player, and not just a good one?

Its a lot easier to find good corners than it is great MLBs ill take "the beast" over most anyone out there.

Yeah..But You have to ask yourself.How many Shutdown CB are there in the NFL opposed to MLB.I love the trade and both teams won it out.But Shutdown CB dont come around often

I disagree.....an elite corner is harder to find than a stud MLB. You can plug in a LB off the bench and not hurt as much as if your #1 corner was out.

Yeah, you guys have a point (and one I knew would be raised). A corner like Revis certainly opens things up for other players on that defense, no doubt.

I'm speaking more in terms of the intangibles that we've come to appreciate so much in Beason. What I should have said is this: Revis is a great player; Beason is a great leader. Like some of the greats to play his position, he is very much a coach on defense.

Hey, both teams made out, which is what a good trade should do. Who can argue with having Beason? Revis has become a great player, and played a great a game against us. The FOs' of both teams should be applauded..

Neither do elite MLBs, really. The only guy who MIGHT be better than Beason is Willis, and that's arguable.

Revis is amazing but I like having an elite MLB running the defense. And it is very much Beason's defense at this point.

Beason and Revis are both top 3 at their position. Beason just doesn't get the press that Revis does.

That Draft was f**king loaded, we didn't go wrong with either player.. It's just one of those drafts where you go "Oh poo We Could Have Had That Guy!" besides would revis really fit in our cover 2?
