Jezz, what is with these young athletes just "dropping" dead from heart attacks without much prior negative contributions. I know we don't know exactly what he did in his personal life but there is no way he was in worst shape than 99% of the people on this message board.

No one notices when someone from this message boards dies. There are 4636 members of carolina huddle. There are plenty of posters who could have a heart attack any day and die and we would never even hear about it.

poo happens all the time, it only seems like a disproportionate number of young athletes are dropping dead because they are famous and we all hear about it when they do die.

My only thing on this is just be respectful. Is it that hard to do so? So what if people have never met the guy. A simple rip or whatever is there way and paying respect. We certainly can't go to the funeral. We were not in the inner circle of friends.

In NC it might be one of the few states left that has the cops leading the procession. Cars pull over and let it pass by. In my little way of showing respect I turn off the radio.

Maybe we should have a pay your respects thread when someone dies and to be equal, have a low brow jackass infantile response thread because deep down I'm scared as poo to die so this might deflect the reality away from it happening even though it won't which makes me even more scared and clinging to my blankie.

Dude, that post is so full of fail it's ridiculous. I mean, all your posts were fine up until that. "Oh he might've slept with a young boy but nothing sexual happened." Even if that was true you act like that's nothing (merely inappropriate?). Sure, let him sleep with your son then. Would you want him sleeping with you if you were still a child?

If we were talking about the normal, average person I would agree with you. We're talking about a guy whose childhood was completely robbed from him and has never been normal since then. I really believe he never truly grew up and remained in a child-like mental state until the day he died.

Would I let my kid stay with Michael? fug no. But I wouldn't let him stay with Zod or any other single guy that I didn't know EXTREMELY well because I wouldn't be that shitty of a parent.

No matter what he tries to say the real answer is "Yes, I would have a problem with it" (depending on what family member - mom vs. great grandpa, etc.).

I wasn't looking to start a fight. I knew some people would find what I said humorous, and some of them were even bold enough to post so in this thread. I knew some people would find it tasteless and neg rep me, but I figured that would be the end of it.

But after the 6th post with some fat loser screaming at me from his virtual rocking chair to "get off my lawn you damn kid" and telling me how I'm morally inferior to him, really based on absolutely nothing, yes, I started arguing with them.

Fact is I do a ton for my community, and have for a long time. I'm an Eagle Scout, and you don't get that by being completely devoid of morals, as it seems I don't have any according to this thread. The fact that I choose to make light of death instead of conforming to the established rule that death = somber and serious has nothing to do with what kind of person I am. Meanwhile, most of the doofuses calling me out do nothing but post fake condolences for a deceased player's family in between binging on Doritos and Mountain Dew.

The thing that really amuses me is that if I had said yesterday that Gaines Adams blew, I wouldn't get much of a response. But now that he's dead, everyone turns into his mother if you say that he was a useless turd of a player. "DON'T YOU DARE SAY THAT ABOUT MY GAINESY!!!!" Funny how every famous person becomes amazingly great and talented after they die.

Players aren't always referred to as great when they die, true enough, but as evidenced by this thread, Gaines Adams certainly stopped sucking when he died.
