While it is unfortunate, I find it just as lame that people say "rip" as other people find the jokes lame. I mean, if you knew him that's understandable. But why do you feel the need to type that? And did you REALLY take a moment to think about his family and pray for them? I highly doubt that.

Insincere prayers and schock is far better than cracking jokes about his death. I'd rather here some fake grievances than some douche crack jokes about a persons death.

after the third or fourth post to rationalize the thought process behind cracking jokes you would figure that one of these clowns would realize at this point they're only trying to convince themselves that it's okay to act like a damn fool.

let's put this in terms that maybe one of these people could understand. with the amount of people that read the content on this board, the college he attended, and where he lived it's entirely possible that someone who knew him or was related to him could end up reading one of these posts given the size and readership of this message board.

You would have a point if I were defending my comment rather than making a different argument.

My whole argument is not that my comment is cool, funny, or anti-any of the labels attached to it. My point is that arbitrarily putting a dividing line between when it's okay to joke about someone's death and when it isn't based on whatever criteria you deem relevant is horseshit. It either is, or it isn't. There's no middle ground.

Now, if you're someone who thinks it's inappropriate to make a joke about someone dying, regardless of who it is, then good for you. You're one of a small number of people that can legitimately call me out for what I said. But the vast majority of people chastising me for what I said laughed their asses off at Michael Jackson pedophilia jokes and are hypocritical pieces of poo.

But that's different, of course, because they didn't like Michael Jackson because he's a dirty ni..... err... he touched kids! You can only joke about the death of someone if they were accused of something bad that they probably never did like MJ.

Indeed. I love all of the people saying he must have died from doing coke or something, without having an inkling of facts at their disposal. Yes, this thing is rare, but it does happen.
