Carolina needs Michael Vick badly

top dawg

Recommended Posts

Being a analyst he probably has done more research more than you. Plus he's was a great coach. Miami and Cowboys...can't take that away from him.

Those who dwell on numbers is mostly closed mined when you consider them over pure talent.

Vick has no talent. 36 fumbles over 3 years means you suck as a QB or RB. A QB whos team only had ONE winning season means that QB may not be that good. A QB who had a 53.8 completion percentage and averaged around 75 QB rating as a starter means that QB sucks. A QB who has thrown 38 INTs (along with those 36 fumbles) over 3 years means that QB sucks. He is sh*t. He is over rated.

Of course it does. The fans know more than JJ.

Perhaps a day will come when people will not be so quick to call names and spread the neg rep at the pure mention of Vick. I thought I'd never see the day when Philly fans are more rational and show more class than Carolina fans. Southern hospitality is a misnomer, and I suppose that the Carolina's should have their Bible Belt cards revoked.

Top Dawg, this is Carolina. Our QBs our are messiahs. Look at Delhomme, look at how we've annointed Moore who hasnt proven anything aside from being better than Delhomme now. They are our "saviours". When you ask people to consider Vick, you're asking them in essence to accept and pray to a black jesus. LOL. Thats why you're getting such a negative reaction.

By the way I think Vick coming to Carolina would improve our offense greatly. Saying that we need him is a little overboard, but he is one qb that has the ability to do everything that is called for in by the qb...and what he does not do, which is vision and standing in the pocket is something that can be taught...

By the way im a Matt Moore fan too...

2 problems with this.

1-First off, Michael Vick is black and he plays quarterback. Thats strike one. No black QBs in Carolina, we've already had Peete 7 years ago, no need for anymore.

2-Michael Vick is a very popular player he would instantly make an irrelevant Carolina franchise relevant again. Unfortunately Jerry Richardson wants the Panthers to be as irrelevant as possible. Less expectations, less attention when he makes catastrophic mistakes (extended Delhomme, ditching Polian, etc), harder to maintain the "good ole boy we know you suck but we're gonna stick wit you" atmosphere we have here.

I have no doubt Vick would thrive here and is better than Delhomme and Moore. But he's less marketable than them in this region, and thats more important than winning. Thank god for the Bobcats! Imagine if they said no to a player like Stephen Jackson who's had a checkered past. What they're doing right now would not be happening. Thats the difference between an owner who's willing to take calculated risks to push his franchise forward and an owner who's happy to stand pat just making a profit off a losing team.

2 problems with your arguement...

1-First off, you're a racist bigot and don't know football.

2-Because of the first problem, none of your arguements can be taken seriously.

KT. I know where you're coming from. But the Huddle can only stand one person to bring up the big, black elephant in the room. You do a good job of it, so I just try to stick to the football part of the equation. But, I know.

Everybody in this city knows, most NFL fans know. The Panthers dont realize this is the internet age, you cant hide big black elephants like you used to maybe 10-15 years ago. The other day Livermush made a comment in a thread that players who spoke well but might not be good players stick around on the team longer than some players who are terrible at speaking but have alot of talent. He even said you'd be "naive" to not think this is the case here. That is called "marketing & politics" and you're a fool if you think that doesnt apply to the most visible glamourous position on the team. Jerry Richardson's business model calls for a low profile white guy to be the star. Vick doesnt fit the bill.

Those who dwell on numbers rather than their own opinions is closed mined...Numbers don't tell alot about people...Check out Chedrick Benson's numbers when he play for the bears vs. bengals...Kyle Orten for the bears vs. Broncos...need i continue?

Right so we should be on the phone with Brady Quinn, Jamarcus Russell, and Ryan Fitzpatrick right now. Forget the fact they have terrible numbers, what about all the talent!!11 ZOMG!!!1

It will take Vick's success to shut some people the hell up. Part of me thinks that they don't want him to succeed, or even have the opportunity.

The status quo is alive and well.

I'd pray to a black Jesus that would fit in with this team, but Vick isn't the answer. He's more of a running man than a passer, yet we already have a great running game.

Vick is not a passer and McNabb is too old. That's not b/c they're black.

Murdering your girlfriend is far far worse than fighting dogs. I'm sorry but that comparison is awful.

Nah, it works. If Vick can have one pass for a touchdown and be called a good QB then, Carruth should be given a chance. I mean really, what's the difference? He served his time , he should be given the chance to redeem himself.

Michael Vick's 75.9 career QB rating is higher than Carolina's QB rating as a franchise. Michael Vick threw a 76 yard TD pass last week. Matt Moore hasnt thrown a TD pass in the playoffs ever and Delhomme hasnt thrown one in a playoff game in 4 years.

Matt Moore hasn't fumbled in a playoff game........ever.
