Carolina needs Michael Vick badly

Nice way to avert direction so you dont have to directly address my post. I know more about the Panthers than Johnson does. He's just another talking head that doesn't do research before speaking.

He's another sheep that looks at Vicks highlights and says "OMGZ THEY NEEED HIM!" without even noticing that even in his limited time he's thrown this year, Vick didn't even complete half his throws.

And if he did his research, he'd notice how poo Vick's completion percentage and QB rate has been his entire career. He'd also notice Vicks number of fumbles. In 2004 he had 16 fumbles, in 2005 he had 11 fumbles, in 2006 he had 9 fumbles. And you remember his fumble in the playoffs last week right? Throw that in with his INTs and incomplete passes, he is a total failure as a QB and RB.

It's nice to think that you know more about the Panthers than Jimmy Johnson, like we all probably do, but that doesn't make it true.

Vick's numbers have not been great, but he brings other intangibles to the table (and always has, that's why he was paid). You guys talk like his numbers are dismal, but when taken into perspective of other QBs they are not. At least his fumbles were decreasing, and the fumble last week was hardly Vick's fault.

"omg i dont have a brain and can't think for myself so i have to rely on tv analysts to think for me! If one of them says we need vick, we better get him on the phone now!"

but HE WON A SUPERBOWL, HE KNOWS MORE ABOUT CAROLINA THAN THEIR OWN COACH! NEVER MIND THE FACT THAT THEIR OWNER SAID THAT MIKE VICK WILL NEVER BE A PANTHER, THEY NEED VICK!

VICK = SUPERBOWL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Only thing he brings is yet another turnover machine to Carolina and herpes.

If vick Is that great why would the Eagles ever want to let him go? Why he is behind McNaab and Kolb? You want him here to start and he is third string where he is. He is a gimmick now, thats it. He is like the Pet Rock now. Soon he will be out of style and forgotten.

the fact that he's behind kevin klob is sad, im not even sure delhomme would be behind klob. kevin klob throws a pick six magnificently, even better than delhomme

Look! You guys know, and I know that Vick will never be a Panther, but stop trying to act like Jimmy Johnson's statement wasn't worth noting.

BTW, does John Fox know his team?

It isn't, that's the point. It was just yet another uninformed statement by a analyst that didn't do his research.

If Vick will make the Panthers better is debatable, but saying that we "need him badly" as the title of the thread suggests, is just plain false. The only thing we need badly is a more open minded head coach.

"Badly" is JJ's word.

"The only thing we need badly is a more open minded head coach."

Translation: We need a new coach.

don't kid urself vick started off 3rd string. coming into a new offense out of football for 2 season and not knowing the offense is the reason he was 3rd. kolb came into the offense as a rookiw when mcnabb went down he threw for four touchdowns. vick hasnt had the same chance to showcase his skills. but u see who saw more time on the field even tho he was 3rd string.

Gimmick that is all.

So by your reasoning he should come here as a third stringer too. He doesn't know our offense either. So I am sure we can find a cheaper option for a third stringer.
