Carolina needs Michael Vick badly

top dawg

Killing dogs does not equate to killing people, though many would perversely disagree.

The point is is that Vick is trying to make amends, but there are those in society who will never give him a chance to redeem himself.

I agree, but they both say a lot about one's character.

People get way to caught up in Vick's past. I for one dont condone what he did, but this is football and at the end of the day all i want is a super bowl trophy in Charlotte. The bottom line is that Vick brings an element that other teams must account for because he is an explosive athlete. I dont want him here as a starting QB though. I think Moore is the future. But to have Vick take 10-15 snaps a game in a wildcat, or shotgun formation with both Williams and Stewart on the field would be absolutely impossible to stop. The possibilities would be endless. Screens to either Stewart or Williams, QB draws with Vick, runs, play action pass, etc. You could do drive after drive in the same formation simply because when the defense stacks the box to stop stewart and williams you simply pa pass to smitty and eat the D alive through the air. Then when they switch to a zone and spread the defense out, you run it every which way.

Bottom line is this, with the big play players we have already, Vick would be a nice compliment as a dual threat QB to run trick plays and confuse defenses. That being said, JR will most-likely not even consider Vick and we will stick it out with Moore which is absolutely fine with me!

I don't care about his criminal past, but his football past is overrated. He makes a lot of big plays, but also turns it over a lot and is not a very good passer. And he is 30 years old, which means his ability to run the ball will soon begin to diminish.

Come on, Jangler. Let he who is without sin cast the first stone. No man is completely moral or immoral. I am trying to stick to talking football.

Do you guys look at Vicks stats before starting these dumbass threads? How many times do you got to see that prior to this year Vicks best year didn't even beat Delhomme's worse? Repeat that to yourself over and over till it finally sinks into your brain. That is if you have one.

How many of you here on the Huddle would expect to or be able to get your job back if you were convicted of a felony and served 23 months in jail? Anyone? The league should not have given him a second chance to start with, nor should they give anyone else convicted of a felony a second chance.

Many esteemed people in American history have done much worse, but that's another forum.
