Turbo Dogs: Terrible Message For Kids

I don't have kids, so I don't know what is going on with cartoons now-a-days. But this show Turbo Dogs really irritated me with one of their episodes. Basically one of the dogs has a problem with body odor. So instead of doing something about it he keeps proclaiming, "I've got to be me!" And all the other dogs learn to appreciate him for his "individuality."

Hey kids its okay to have body odor, because you're an individual and you're special. Is that a good message to send kids? I feel like writing an email to the people who make the show and asking them if a co-worker had body odor would you appreciate them for their individuality? Or would you call Human Resources.

Being smelly isn't a good thing in childhood or adulthood.

Kids are smart enough to understand symbolism and allegory. Kids aren't zombies that do what TV tells them.

Kids should not be getting parenting from TV shows. General ideas about self confidence are fine. If you think your kid is getting the wrong idea about body odor then push him in the right direction.

Turbo dogs looks like a terrible cartoon anyway
